Judge Dredd: A Better World Races To Second Printing!
More from this excellent story arc - and more opportunity to get Judge Dredd: A Better World from Rebellion.
Judge Dredd: A Better World, the critically-acclaimed story which rocked 2000 AD readers, has now completely sold out in collection -- and is rushing back for a second print run!
Is A Better World possible? Comics fans certainly seem to think so, as the modern classic story Judge Dredd: A Better World has sold out completely and will be going back for a new print run! The story of a major proposal to change Judge Dredd's home of Mega-City One forever, A Better World built up across several years as it followed Judge Maitland's exploration of alternatives to the justice system which dominates future America.

Realising that if she were to reallocate money from the massive funds handed to the Judges each year and instead send it to improve education, community and culture, she could reduce crime levels, Maitland is given permission to attempt her project in a single block within the city.
Will she be able to reduce crime in her block? And more importantly - will her fellow judges allow her to run her experiment in peace, without interfering? As things head up in the city, the press start to incite riots across Mega-City One! After all, that's a LOT of police pensions which might be negatively affected if Maitland's right....
Speaking on the news, Wyatt says: "Back when we started work on this story Rob and I thought we might be on to something special, and when we started seeing pages of art from Boo, Jake and Henry we knew that it would be special and hopefully a big deal. But I don’t think either of us anticipated how much people would connect with it. It’s especially gratifying to see so many people pick it up that haven’t read Dredd in a while - or even some people reading it as their first Dredd. I’m hoping they go on to read many more, including the forthcoming follow-up The New Future".
Williams adds "It's good to see people have an appetite for cautionary stories about authoritarianism, narcissistic power grabs and the nefarious influence of billionaires on society. You'd worry that we get enough of that via the news feed at the moment. But fortunately you add the superstar art of Henry Flint and stick Judge Dredd in the middle of it and it sells. We're delighted there's been a second print run on A Better World".
Critically-acclaimed and a fan-favourite since it first ran within 2000 AD in 2024, Judge Dredd: A Better World is a brutal, sharp, and hard-hitting story about police reform, the nature of authority, and the price that people pay for making a difference. Look out for the second printing of this modern classic coming to a shelf near you soon!
