In The Beginning
And that title comes from a new product on my Redbubble site. The full phrase comes from me, at a meal, trying to reason as to why I don’t know the answer to a quiz.
How have you all been? I’ve begun to pick up a pencil again and start drawing. I’ve also looked at what needs to be added to my latest issue of Custard.

Round-Up
Two new series caught my eye this last week; both had very different styles and stories but were enjoyable.
Old Dog from Image Comics starts out as a spy thriller, and then, mid-way through the story, it turns into something else. There is a little twist at the end, and this initial issue gives us a little tease and there looks to be more to come.
Check out the details here.
From Boom Studios, Briar #1 takes us to a fantasy world, but the story doesn’t go where you would think. It’s a twisted fairy tale with much to introduce in the first issue. I liked this and the art.
Details of Briar can be found here.
Crowdfunding
Some wide selections in the world of crowdfunding comics projects over the last couple of weeks.
First up is a selection from Zoop, Crowdfundr and Kickstarter with Drip, Six-Gun Gorilla, Plainer Jane & Shelter: Early Doors.
And yesterdays Fund Me Friday features Romanis Magicae, Magni the Mighty, Snow White Zombie Apocalypse & Riptide Sanitarium on both Zoop and Kickstarter.

Spotlight
The latest spotlight from me is The Plot.
A unique story with some well-laid-out art direction. I loved the twists and turns this story gives, mixing some of the old spy thrillers with modern ideas.

Reviews
I had the chance to review a new series from Literati Press Comics. Aliengaged #1 looks to be an interesting series with some fun tropes and humour.
Lenovations Press have started some new series - in this case; I looked at the first issue (with two issues out right now) of The Wild West Adventures of Buffalo Bill #1. It was interesting to read about some of these legendary characters!
Something a bit special from Rebellion in 2000 AD (and Judge Dredd Megazine) with a big multi-story crossover. There are zombies and more in these two issues. Following that bombshell, there is a jumping-on point for new and lapsed readers in a new prog.
A new series from IDW Publishing in Crashing features a unique look at the fallout from Superhero/villain battles.
After a big build-up, there is the beginning of a big story arc in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The Armageddon Game starts now!
In Grimm Fairy Tales, the beginnings of a new storyline are building up here. It looks pretty scary and has some good new characters (both bad and good!)
We’re mid-arc in The Magic Order 3 #3 from Image Comics, and the world-building continues in the ways and locations of magic.
