In The Beginning
I am feeling slightly pleased with myself. I am finally getting things organised!
So far, I have booked my summer holiday, and now I have booked my tickets and accommodation for Thought Bubble - the excellent comics event in the UK.
On top of that, I’ve started creating again - Along with my zines and comics over on Custard Comix, I have added a free download for a mini-comic that has been banging around in my head for some time.
And no, I haven’t received Tales Of The Quarantine yet!

Round-Up
Some sad news about Europe Comics:
It is not without sadness that we send out our very last Europe Comics newsletter since as of this month we are ending all our consumer-facing marketing efforts. We have stopped updating our website and social channels and will stop sending out all our newsletters. The good news is, however, that we will keep releasing new titles every month, just as before. So make sure you check your favorite online retailer every third Wednesday of the month for the usual release of 5-10 new Europe Comics titles.
I’ve always enjoyed the output from Europe Comics, with some excellent and different titles. Hopefully, I will find a way to keep up with their releases and they won’t get lost in the shuffle.
Crowdfunding
A new addition to the crowdfunding platform Zoop this last week with Nine Lives by the team of Steve Horton and Chris Peterson.
On top of that, Band of Bards has a new Kickstarter project starting next week - Amongst the Stars.
Spotlight
You’ve heard me speak before about the excellent Plainer Jane series from Broken Face Comics.
Well, there will be a special collected edition of the bloody story.
The book will now be in full colour. Colourist Linda Scott Campbell is currently working her way through over 130 pages and they are looking amazing.

Special Offers & Sales
A bit of a change from the norm here, but Quindrie Press has a special sale on damaged books!
Quindrie Press is back after a nice long winter break and we’re returning with a treat: it’s time for our yearly damaged book sale! All the damage is purely cosmetic, everything that matters inside is correctly printed and fully readable. The sale includes faves like When I Was Me and our newest book Tilt: Six Tales, but stock is limited! Ends on February 24th.
Received
A good selection from the last couple of weeks! Hedrek: Night Of The Mummers continues with The Axe Forgets from Scratch Comics. I’m straining to hold it up for the picture, but that is the massive book on Bryan Talbot, Father of the British Graphic Novel - I don’t know if it will be publicly available. Three Panel Horror is a classic read and perfect for nights, with some grim humour in here too. Check out Matt’s work here. And from three panels to one - one a day, that is! An excellent cross-dimensional story called X365 with one panel drawn a day by Neill Cameron.
