In The Beginning
Sad news this week with the announcement of the death of Kevin O'Neill. He is credited for Nemesis the Warlock, Marshal Law and The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen and will be missed by many.
I’m aware that Substack has brought in a chat feature for writers and readers, which I will be incorporating in the future. It will probably be when it is rolled out to the Android app as well. I look forward to chatting with you all!
Comic News
TokyoPop has announced their latest edition of the Nightmare Before Christmas series, with The Battle for Pumpkin King. Starting next year.
Panel Syndicate continues bringing out many new comics and issues using the pay-what-you-want model. The latest is the most recent issue of Friday.
Mad Cave Studios announced a new title coming in December - Dahlia In The Dark. It looks to be a great read.
And just announced is the news of another new title coming - his time in March 2023 you can get Hunt, Kill, Repeat.
IDW Publishing released a free Sonic The Hedgehog digital comic as a prologue to the new game.
Crowdfunding
On Crowdfundr, Come Down has just launched and has already exceeded its goal. And on Zoop, there is some time-travelling fun in Time Dog and Other Atomic Fairytales.
I’m pleased to see Saucer Country completed over on Zoop, with print and digital options for the whole series or the final issue.

Spotlight
Soaring Penguin Press have a wide selection of graphic novels for sale.
With titles such as Breaks by Emma Vieceli and Malin Rydén, Black by Tobias Taitt and Anthony Smith or comedies like Learn To Speak Cat: Fake Mews by Anthony Smith. There is an excellent selection, and they have new titles coming to Crowdfundr in 2023, which will be worth checking out.
In the meantime, Soaring Penguin Press has two titles currently available on Crowdfundr:
Blessed Cure - By Mario Cesar, the English translation of a Brazilian LGBTQ+ book about Conversion Therapy and boy growing up in Brazil.
Nord - by Martin Simpson. It's graphic novel-children's book hybrid that Martin's been working on for several years.
