In The Beginning
A busy couple of weeks leading to a bit of time off. Things will be quiet here in August as I have holidays and weddings!
In the meantime, check out my first tattoo, done by the excellent Seb Martinez.

Crowdfunding
The two Fund Me Friday round-ups feature some excellent new and upcoming crowdfunding projects.
Chances Are #1 is coming soon from the amazing Matt Garvey and David Cousens, and I’ve had a sneak look. It’s an excellent read and worth backing. On Zoop, there is Kaijus and Cowboys #1 in a mix of genres, and Our Lady Maven looks like an interesting war-time thriller.
The latest issue of Caspian Porter is currently funding on Kickstarter. This is the third issue and highly enjoyable from SnowyWorks. Over on Zoop, Dracula The Return: Cult of The White Worm returns to crowdfunding and has options of digital and print rewards. And back to Kickstarter, where the latest and final issue of Plainer Jane is looking for signups as the final campaign starts. TPub has brought Amputation Capital to Kickstarter after serialising it on GlobalComix.

Reviews
From Broken Face Comics is the penultimate issue of Plainer Jane. With some excellent work and the sign-ups for the final issue is already live!
There are the two issues of 2000 AD, with a great mix of stories and some excellent covers from Rebellion.
From IDW Publishing, we get the end of the latest Rocketeer story arc, with some nice pieces and a possible tease for the future. The Transformers story arc continues in Last Bot Standing, and a new arc begins in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
There are two one-shot stories from Zenescope Entertainment. They are enjoyable on their own but lead into the wider character building of the two characters - Belle and Robyn Hood.
I had the chance to review the excellent Haunted, Beloved from Literati Press. It is certainly something different and deals with some interesting issues from both side.
The Magic Order returns in a new mini-series from Image Comics. This time it seems to be more multi-national than the previous arc too!
