From Green Iceberg Press, and with less than a week to go on Kickstarter, Nathaniel Fox and the Tomb of Humayun is fully funded and ready to go. I had an advance look at this adventure story.
Join Nathaniel Fox, a fearless university professor with an insatiable thirst for discovery, as he embarks on a quest to uncover hidden treasures and ancient mysteries. Along the way, he'll encounter a colorful cast of characters, face unimaginable challenges, and journey through the most dangerous jungles and treacherous ruins.

First, letโs get the Indiana Jones comparisons out of the way. Yes, there are Nazis, and there are plots and secret archaeological digs. In no way, that is a bad thing, though. This is taking some of those tropes and building on them; this initial issue does a great job in the setup.
Itโs not dull, and there is plenty of action to get into, with fights, gun battles and rooftop chases. Itโs a classic adventure I would enjoy watching on a Sunday afternoon.
There is some great tension, and we are introduced to many of the key players in this story and the plots and plans around the area. I really enjoyed the way the story built as we went on, and now the pace will move along at a more even pace.
The villains of the story - the Nazi Part - are interesting, just the right amount of brain and muscle, and they have their reasons for destabilising the area and wanting certain people out of the way. Itโs clever and makes an excellent plot thread.
I enjoyed the art style. It has a real action-cartoon feel, with a dash of Tinitin mixed in. There are some excellent scenes, and the panels, for example, of the rush across the rooftops, were exceptionally well shown.
This is an excellent adventure, with enough for an initial issue, introducing you to what is happening and drawing you in, ready for what comes next!
I proudly backed this book. If you like adventure like Indiana Jones you absolutely should too. See you there!
