Four new horror stories will be released just in time for Halloween. This is an excellent selection and worth checking out.
If I Never Come Back features an IT-style story about kids finding out some of the horrors in stories are real. This tale has an excellent dark twist, which sets the tone and makes it the perfect beginning of the anthology.
In Chronicles Of The Occult: Tennison, we get a different tone. This shift is an excellent move, and this ghost story has some old-time horror. I love how it is told, and the artwork and colouring are perfect for the period and the feel of the story.
A problem child is taught a terminal lesson in the countryside in Respect Your Elders. I like the build-up in this one, and honestly, I didn’t know where this would go. The comment at the end was excellent.
Finally, in This One’s A Winner, a story of a family on a trip to Vegas! I liked the tension in this story and the gradual build, including the wife and the childlike excitement of the kids towards the end. It has a grim conclusion and a brilliant final panel.
In all, this anthology has a good mixture of horror, with something for everyone, perfect for the dark nights ahead.
