A while back, I looked at the first two issues of TRAKOVI, which was fresh off a successful Kickstarter campaign.
Well, now it has been picked up by Scout Comics, and the crazy story starts afresh on July 26th. This version has two bonus pages too!
A Slovenian thug in Edmonton, Canada, tries to put his criminal past behind him, but there are those who know where the bodies are buried who refuse to allow the dead to rest in peace...

This issue starts you off on the wrong foot and gradually builds the story around that footing. We start in the future and get an interesting beginning, with an attack on a bus and some very cryptic words.
From there, a good flashback introduces the story's setup well, the characters are well built on, and you are never sure who to root for. There is a good mix of characters, and their commentary and vulgar language are a breath of air that adds to the story's chaos.
And chaotic is what this story really brings to you - with some panels that burst off the page and some interesting dialogue - you are never sure what comments will be useful later - and that draws you into the story and gets you invested.
The art is certainly different, with some bright colours and crazy lines and style, but it works with this story and adds to the tension and enjoyability of the story.
This issue finishes with a bit of a cliffhanger and makes you want to pick up the next issue. Another excellent comic from this publisher, and Iโm glad to see it picked up by a wider audience.
