Returning to your hometown is never easy, but for Heather Hutchens, it’s a nightmare…BABYLON COVE,
Announcing the five-issue horror romantic comedy series from Mad Cave Studios, written by Rafer Roberts (Modern Fantasy, Grumble) with art by New York Times Best-selling artist Joe Eisma (Morning Glories), colors by Marissa Louise (Hex Wives), and lettering by Crank! (Hack/Slash), featuring a variant cover by Eric Powell.

This is a story about Heather, a no-nonsense career-gal who returns to her picturesque New England hometown for the first time in a decade to attend a family funeral; Dennis, the all-American dreamboat who broke Heather’s heart in high school; Charlie, the late-blooming shy boy who Heather never gave the time of day, and Karthon, the ancient demon with plans to feast on the flesh of everyone in town.
If you ever wondered what would happen if Stephen King were allowed to write one of those Hallmark holiday movies...Welcome to BABYLON COVE.
Blending sharp romantic comedy instincts with straight-up horror, Babylon Cove gleefully dismantles the love triangle, replacing polite small-town tension with monsters, mayhem, and emotional reckoning.
“This project came about simply because it's more fun to make comics with your friends,” said Rafer Roberts. “My first inclination was to write a romance comic to take advantage of Joe's reputation from his Archie and Morning Glory days, but like all of my stuff, I had to subvert those expectations by adding a straight-up horror element. Babylon Cove is the product of both Joe and me, making the comics we're known for, but at the same time making the comics we wish people would let us make. There is no other romantic comedy like Babylon Cove that has this much blood and guts, and there is no other horror out there that has this much romance and laughs. Babylon Cove is for people who say they hate romance stories, people who go to brunch because their friends drag them to brunch, and people who join book clubs and have strong opinions about why the romantic leads don't belong together.”
Artist Joe Eisma added, “I have always wanted to draw a romance comic ever since I started my career in this industry, but I could never make it work until Rafer and I worked up the concept for Babylon Cove. We had so much fun mashing the romance genre by way of Lifetime Movies with cosmic horror. I love how Rafer subverted tropes for these types of stories and gave me so much gore to draw. It's truly a one-of-a-kind comic, unlike anything I've done before! I hope folks will see how much fun and joy we had on this and have a great time with it.”
Babylon Cove is about avoidance, self-sabotage, and the desperate need to be loved—where the real danger isn’t just the demon stalking the town, but the damage we do when we refuse to confront who we were, the harm we caused, and who we might still become.
Babylon Cove #1 (of 5) hits comic shop shelves May 20, 2026, with FOC on April 27. Preorder from your favorite LCS or directly from Mad Cave Studios.
Vault And New York Times Bestselling Author Jeremy Robinson Announce New Supernatural Horror Comic Series, Excommunicated
New horror from Vault Comics, with the supernatural in Excommunicated. This looks to be a dark tale and I can’t wait to read it!
Vault and New York Times bestselling author Jeremy Robinson have announced Excommunicated, a jaw droppingly excellent new supernatural horror comic book series. Written by Robinson, drawn by Tiago Palma, colored by Manuel J. Rodriguez, lettered by Jim Campbell, and designed by Tim Daniel, Excommunicated weaves an intricate web of sinister mystery, horror, action, and demonic collusion.

In Excommunicated, a faithful nun and a festering demon are excommunicated from the church—and from hell—because of a botched exorcism, and they must work together to uncover a sinister plot that endangers their lives and the world.
Series creator and writer Jeremy Robinson says: “My whole life I’ve been what people call ‘steeped in the Bible.’ I’ve incorporated this knowledge into my novels the way I do other religions and mythologies, but I really wanted to use my recent discoveries regarding original translations of the Biblical texts that fundamentally change the game—specifically concerning the satan (yes, lowercase) and the strange beings known as Elohim. Me being me, I wrote a story that is sinister, action-packed, and funny, but made even cooler by a supernatural backdrop far more interesting than what we’ve all been taught in Sunday school and by Hollywood.”
“After working with Tiago Palma, Manual Rodriguez, and Jim Campbell on other comics, I knew they were the dream team for Excommunicated and they delivered in spades, perfectly capturing the characters, Boston locations, demonic horrors, and...maybe a little gore. The result is a book that I’m very proud of and super excited for people to read. It’s weird to be a fan of something I played a part in creating, but I am a fan of Sister Josephine and Edimmu!”
Jeremy Robinson is the #1 Audible and New York Times bestselling author of nearly 100 novels, published in fourteen languages, including INFINITE, THE OTHERS, and the GOOD BOYS trilogy. His high-octane blend of science fiction, horror, and action has captivated millions of readers worldwide. A television series based on his cult-favorite novel PROJECT NEMESIS is currently in development with director Chad Stahelski (John Wick 1–4) and produced by Original Film and Sony Pictures Television.
Robinson’s latest creative frontier is Breakneck Comics, his imprint for publishing bold, bizarre, and beautifully illustrated graphic novels—three per year, to match the furious pace of his prose output.
Excommunicated issue #1 will hit shelves in comic book stores everywhere in May, 2026. The series debut will feature variant covers from a phenomenal lineup of artists including Joshua Hixson, Tyler Crook, Tiago Palma, Ito, Jeremy Robinson, and more.
Aladdin Rides Magic Carpet Into Comic Series
A new Disney series from Dynamite Comics, this time featuring the classic hero, Aladdin!
Readers are invited to hop on their magic carpets and join Dynamite Entertainment for the latest hotly anticipated comics project in their line of licensed Disney classics, as Aladdin jumps into action this May!
Welcome to Agrabah! The creative team — writer James III and artist Agnese Eterno — brings a thrilling, all-new series from one of the most revered films from the Disney Renaissance era.

Everyone's favorite diamond in the rough, Aladdin, is on top of the world as this new comic series starts. The former street rat is united with his love, Princess Jasmine. He's got his trusty buddies Abu and the magical carpet. While Genie is free of his lamp and able to do as he wishes. But trouble always seems to haunt Al, and he'll need the help of everyone he loves to save himself and the entire city of Agrabah!Acclaimed writer, comedian, podcaster, and all-around powerhouse James III (Good Burger 2, Fairy OddParents: A New Wish, All That) channels his timeless, all-ages expertise that fans got to know in the latest Stitch series into another childhood favorite of his, now an adult favorite and unparalleled responsibility for generations new and old.The illustrious Italian artist Agnese Eterno joins him for this latest adventure into Agrabah, a rising star trained and affiliated with the legendary Arancia Studio of superstar Mirka Andolfo.
"Writing Aladdin is an opportunity I don't take lightly," said writer James III. "Not to be old, but the Aladdin VHS was one of the few tapes we owned growing up and we wore it out! I'd run around the house imitating Genie and Iago (for which I later won the 3rd grade talent show, thank you very much!) And my light-up Jafar staff was a prized possession. We're doing our best to capture the flare of the original while telling new stories for today's audience."
Joining James and Agnese is a crop of charts-topping cover artists. J. Scott Campbell showcases the haunting elegance of Aladdin's resident dastardly Disney Villain — Jafar. Artists Nicoletta Baldari and Natacha Bustos bring their beloved talents to the table. Last but certainly not least, Eterno herself chips in a fun cartoon head variant.
In addition to these core covers, aspiring artists and collectors can opt for a Blank Authentix to make their own Aladdin cover or have one sketched by a favorite creator at conventions. The debut issue will also be offered as a premium mystery blind bag. This unique release features a slick design of the Genie's lamp, and contains three limited editions of the issue selected randomly from a range of covers exclusive to this offering.
Aladdin hit theaters worldwide in 1992, bringing the Disney magic to a standout tale from One Thousand and One Nights. The titular Arabian street urchin, his spirited paramour Princess Jasmine, the conniving Jafar, wise-cracking Genie, adorable monkey Abu, and its gorgeous desert and city landscapes wowed fans of all ages. The highest-grossing animated film of all time at the time of its release, the world of Aladdin now returns to comics for a new batch of four-color fables.

Agent Cobra Bubbles has a mission, he'd like to build a series of journals that chronicle the life and times of the controversial Experiment 626, a.k.a. Stitch. For strictly academic and procedural reasons! He needs to keep up with the duo while he returns to the world of secret agent-ing. And he wants Lilo and Stitch themselves on the case!
Readers will find the day to day chaos left in the wake of the little force of nature, as he further gets adjusted to the idyllic island life of Hawaii, and learns the meaning of 'ohana becoming closer with his found family. Pages feature quick profiles on cherished characters including Nani, Cobra Bubbles, Dr. Jumba Jookiba, Mr. Pleakley, and Stitch. Early in the story, bookworms will love Stitch's stylized depictions of surfing the Pacific waves, and it only gets more fun from there!
The Stitch Book: Top Secret Adventures is 208 pages, and produced at 5.5 by 8.25 inches, perfect for younger readers and parents to take everywhere they go. The first batch of journal entries are unveiled to the public this coming May 6, with more planned to come!
"As a big Chris Sanders admirer and superfan of the movie, I've long wished I could have worked on the original Disney’s Lilo & Stitch," said writer and artist Jeff Parker." The animation studio really knocked it out of the galaxy, and I think readers will enjoy us keeping the spirit of that alive. Lilo and Stitch may now have a very stable found family, but they're still little chaos agents that upend life everywhere they go, and they go a lot of places in The Stitch Book."
