Gallic Back-to-School Flash! The Cover of the 41st Album Finally Unveiled!
A new Asterix adventure is coming soon from Papercutz. Check out the details and the new cover!
While most of us are already back to school, Asterix and Obelix are heading to Lusitania—And in their back-to-school bag? A flask of Magic Potion (which Obelix still isn’t allowed to drink), Dogmatix, and—most importantly—the cover of the 41st album!
Papercutz and Mad Cave Studios are thrilled to present a first look at ASTERIX VOL. 41: ASTERIX AND OBELIX IN LUSITANIA, written by FABCARO, created by René Goscinny and Albert Uderzo, and illustrated by Didier Conrad.
One beautiful spring morning, a stranger arrives in the village. He’s come from Lusitania, that sunny land to the west of Hispania that’s also under the yoke of Rome. This former slave, who we met in “Mansions of the Gods” [collected in Papercutz’ ASTERIX Omnibus #6], knows about the effects of the Magic Potion and has come to ask our indomitable Gauls for help. A new adventure for Asterix and Obelix is about to begin!
“I wanted a cover that doesn’t have a specific action but instead is contemplative, that gives more of an idea of the mood and the setting than of the story itself, and that, with a single image, makes you want to go to Portugal,” said writer FABCARO. “Almost a vacation postcard, where you feel the sun and smell the ocean just by looking at it. Mind you, we still added a few small elements from the story, which we’ll let you figure out.”
“For the image revealed in March, it seemed clear to me that we should feature calçada portuguesa and pay tribute to the incredible artisans who cut and placed every black-and-white stone by hand, as well as referring to the celebrated bacalhau (in other words, the famous cod),” said illustrator Didier Conrad. “For the cover, I took a different, more direct approach. Here we have a typical street, again with specific allusions to Portugal, and I used the warm, comforting colors characteristic of Mediterranean countries. In both cases, I think you’ll recognize the destination at a glance!”
The international bestselling graphic novel series, beloved worldwide, continues with a new North American collectors’ edition. Asterix in Lusitania captures the charm, humor, and adventure fans expect, while offering new contextual elements to deepen appreciation.
Asterix Vol. 41: Asterix in Lusitania arrives October 28, 2025. Preorder through your favorite retailer and join Asterix and Obelix as they embark on their latest adventure.
Post Malone & Vault Tease Big Rig Book 2: Damned
Here's more from Post Malone and Vault Comics with Big Rig Book 2: Damned. This is an excellent series, and I’m looking forward to seeing more!
Vault & Post Malone have teased the return of the Big Rig comic book series in 2026 with Big Rig, Book 2: Damned. Vault have released a piece of teaser art by Nathan Gooden, hinting at what’s to come as the Rig’s journey continues.
“We’re just getting started with Big Rig,” said Post. “What we have in store will blow people’s minds. Just wait until you see what Adrian, Nathan, and I have been cooking up. There is a lot more to come. Stay tuned.”
“The success of Big Rig has changed my life,” said Big Rig co-writer, Adrian Wassel. “I cannot thank the readers and fans enough. I also cannot thank Posty and Nate enough for including me on this wild ride. One more thing: I promise that the answers to all the BIG questions are coming—our heroes just have to suffer for them is all.”
In the next chapter of Big Rig, Trucker, Edda, and Batu have put Lucifer and the Princess of Hell in the rearview mirror, but the bloodshed is far from finished. Satan has sent a new general to lead his invasion. As Belphegor advances through Europe on a mission to raise Hell, the Rig chases, only to end up on a collision course with an unexpected enemy: invaders from the north capitalizing on the chaos. Now, it’s a war on two fronts. And what’s worse, both enemies possess weapons that make the Rig look less like the miracle our heroes need and more like a deathtrap. Will the vehicle keeping them alive be their doom? All depends on how well Trucker can drive.
More information about Post Malone’s Big Rig, Book 2: Damned, will be announced soon.
In the meantime, Vault previously announced that they will hold a star-studded panel for Post Malone’s Big Rig at New York Comic Con 2025. Joining the panel will be Vault Editor-in-Chief and Big Rig co-writer Adrian Wassel, series artist Nathan Gooden, Vault Publisher & CEO Damian Wassel, and some extremely special guests. The Big Rig panel will be moderated by Coy Jandreau.
The panel will take place on Friday October 10th from 5:00pm to 6:00pm inside the Javitz Center in room 405 and will focus on the past, present, and future of all things Big Rig, from inside the comic to its adaptations beyond.
