A New Hunter Rises in the Spawn Universe!
Expanding on the Spawn universe from Image Comics, the trade paperback of Bloodletter is coming in May 2026.
Image Comics is proud to announce the release of the BLOODLETTER trade paperback, collecting the five-issue supernatural thriller set within the Spawn Universe, from writers Joseph P. Illidge (New History of the DC Universe: The Dakota Incient) and Tim Seeley (Pretty Hate Machine), with striking art by Christian Rosado (Skull and Bones: Savage Brainstorm), featuring letters by AndWorld Design.

In this thrilling miniseries, Tasha Thornwall, known as THE BLOODLETTER, is a powerful mystical mercenary entrenched in the world's secretive underbelly. Once a CIA operative, she has lived in the shadows since being exposed by Al Simmons a decade ago. Now, driven by vengeance upon learning that Simmons has returned as Spawn, she embarks on a relentless mission to hunt him down.
With Bloodletter, the Spawn Universe expands into one of its most clandestine corners. Blending supernatural forces with covert operations and global intrigue, the series introduces a dangerous new perspective within Todd McFarlane’s long-running world: one shaped by vengeance, mysticism, and the hidden battles that unfold in Spawn’s shadow.
Bloodletter expands the Spawn Universe while introducing a formidable antihero whose past (and motives) place her on a collision course with one of comics’ most iconic figures.
Bloodletter trade paperback (ISBN: 9781534329980 | $14.99) arrives May 6, 2026, and is now available for preorder. The collection will also be available across many digital platforms, including Amazon Kindle, Apple Books, and Google Play.
When the world floods, courage must rise!
The first volume of Archipelago is coming soon from Papercutz, and it looks amazing!
Nothing looks the way it used to.
Mad Cave Studios’ all-ages imprint Papercutz proudly presents ARCHIPELAGO VOL. 1, a timely middle-grade graphic novel set in a near-future world transformed by rising seas, written by Basque authors Martin and Xabier Etxeberria (Buyan, Broken Eye), with art by Alex San Vicente Sanvi and colors by Sergio Román Sedyas.

Earth 2103—A large part of the world is underwater. Global warming and the sudden acceleration of the melting of the poles have caused a sharp rise in sea level, in the form of Three Great Waves which arrived unexpectedly.
These tsunamis not only flooded entire countries, but also wiped out telecommunications, agriculture, and energy production. Those who managed to survive must operate in a new and fragmented society of scarce resources — a dark age in which new powers emerge, such as the North African League, ready to conquer the part of Europe left on the water.
It is there that Jare, a young woman with hidden powers who lives in the Basque Archipelago, will find herself unexpectedly plunged into a world of dangerous intrigue that seeks to disrupt old balances and create new alliances.
Authors Martin and Xabier Etxeberria said, “When we wrote the original audio series for Basque TV five years ago, we imagined a dystopian future because we've always loved sci-fi stories. But given everything that's happening in the world today, we wonder if Archipelago isn't, after all, a real prediction of our near future… Beneath the Three Waves, readers will find a story of adventure, fantasy, and romance.”
Artist Alex San Vicente added, “I've always loved classic newspaper comics (Captain Easy, Buzz Sawyer, Johnny Hazard; just to name a few) where adventure, drama, and comedy built the stories. Add to the mix certain fantastical manga vibes (Miyazaki, the master of it all) and voila! I hope we can get a little closer to that kind of story and that readers will join us on the journey.”
“The idea behind the colors in Archipelagoj was to help immerse you in the story, with special attention to the passage of time during the day and night,” said colorist Sergio Román Sedyas. The main inspiration was Future Boy Conan by Hayao Miyazaki. I hope the color palettes contribute to the immersive experience of the adventure.”
Archipelago blends environmental adventure with high-stakes intrigue and cinematic worldbuilding that young readers won’t want to miss!
Archipelago Vol. 1 goes on sale June 16, 2026, in paperback (ISBN: 9781545826744) and hardcover (ISBN: 9781545826751) formats, and is available for preorder wherever books and comics are sold. Readers can also buy directly from Papercutz.com.
Stardust, Stardom & the Cost of Going Viral
All-ages science fiction from Papercutz with Solar Sisters coming in the autumn!
Papercutz and Mad Cave Studios invite readers to blast off into a vibrant sci-fi comedy with SOLAR SISTERS, an all-ages original graphic novel from The Last Warden writers Amit Tishler and Elliot Sperl, illustrated by Virginia Salucci (Tales of Vulcania), colored by Giulia Zucca, and lettered by the award-winning Taylor Esposito.
Phoebe Dust’s days as a child star are over. Born and raised on the moon, she’s shocked to discover her mom’s tourist trap, the Lunar Link, is deep in debt and circling the drain. Determined to save it, Phoebe hatches a plan that accidentally rockets her alien sister, Luna, into interstellar superstardom. Overnight, the Lunar Link is swarmed with tourists, the perils of fame close in, and Nova Starr, the galaxy’s most ruthless influencer, is plotting to claw the spotlight back by any means necessary. With the forces of fame, fortune, and cutthroat rivals pulling from every direction, Phoebe must keep her family's future from being blown into stardust.
Blending colorful worldbuilding with sharp commentary on celebrity culture, Solar Sisters explores the complicated balance between ambition, identity, and the pursuit of happiness while delivering a story packed with humor, heart, and high-stakes cosmic chaos.
Reflecting on the themes at the center of the book, Amit Tishler shared:
“Solar Sisters holds a special place in my heart. Every character in our story struggles to find a healthy balance between self-fulfillment and sacrifice, which is a particularly poignant struggle for anyone working in the arts. This adventure is optimistic, colorful, and wholesome, with its characters and world inspiring the production of an entire galaxy of creations. With an original graphic novel, tabletop game, and K-POP EP already on the way, the Solar Sisters universe is going to be absolutely stellar (pun most certainly intended).”
“We created Solar Sisters to inspire others with a scifi roller-coaster ride that takes our readers over the moon, across the Kuiper Belt, and back,” co-writer Elliot Sperl added. Juggling elements of slapstick humor, family drama, and over-the-top action, this spacefaring adventure explores what it means to be true to yourself through the telescopic lens of our star-studded cast. It may not be down-to-Earth, but we think this story about a ragtag family and their adopted alien daughter aims high and will hopefully hit home for everyone. After all, it's not rocket science...just a tale as old as space-and-time.”
Where the colorful energy of The Mitchells vs. the Machines meets the musical flair of K-Pop Demon Hunters and the heartfelt sci-fi storytelling of Sanity & Tallulah, Solar Sisters delivers an exciting adventure for middle-grade readers while offering humor and emotional depth for crossover audiences alike.
Beyond the graphic novel, Solar Sisters is expanding to include an original K-Pop EP, Nova Starr: Solar Cyclone, produced by Amit Tishler and music composer Alon Kaplan (Lost In Play), and the tabletop game Stardom: The Solar Sisters Game from Lichenwood Games (Favor: Gods of Oethera) and 10 Forward Productions, launching soon on Kickstarter.
Solar Sisters goes on sale October 13, 2026, in paperback (ISBN: 9781545827772 | $12.99) and hardcover (ISBN: 9781545827789 | $17.99) formats and is now available for preorder wherever books and comics are sold, including papercutz.com. Direct Market FOC is October 14.
Hope Is Hunted. The White King Rises
With amazing art, Mad Cave Studios has announced the second book of One Path - The White King.
The 2026 Independent Press Award–winning One Path Book 1 introduced readers to a brutal prehistory where survival is law and mercy is weakness. Now, Mad Cave Studios returns to that savage landscape with ONE PATH BOOK TWO, THE WHITE KING, a 208-page descent into obsession and vengeance to protect what the world has condemned!
From acclaimed writer and artist Greg Broadmore (Dr. Grordbort Presents: Victory) and writer Andy Lanning, the saga deepens into a relentless pursuit, tightening the chase and stripping survival down to instinct.

In a brutal, breathtaking prehistory where cavegirls fight desperately to survive and dinosaurs rule the valleys, One Path flees her tribe with a “cursed” infant, which she refuses to abandon. With a fierce young Runtling at her side, she drives toward the mythic Towers - vast, earthen spires said to hold life-saving sap, a treacle rich enough to keep the starving child alive.
Behind them, love twists into pursuit. Una, One Path’s sister, leads a relentless war-band - driving three subjugated T-Rexes, they are determined to uphold their brutal laws and destroy the child they scorned. Worse still, Una’s desperate gambit has roused an older terror: the White King, an ancient albino T-Rex that rises from hibernation to claim its tribute. Drawn by the infant’s vital scent and the promise of renewed power, the White King cuts a path of ruin across forest and plain, devouring anything that stands between it and the child.
Part chase, part odyssey, One Path: The White King hurtles through a landscape where hope is hunted and trust runs thin. As the Towers loom and the hunters close, One Path must choose what to risk, and who to become if she’s to save the condemned child.
Greg Broadmore reflected: “Creating One Path Book One was shocking and gut-wrenching. You never know how art this raw will be received, so it’s been incredibly gratifying to watch a growing audience discover it, taking this wild, dark ride alongside me like hunters in my tribe. One Path: Book Two, The White King forks down even stranger paths. One Path and the Runtling are ruthlessly hunted by their own blood, dragging new stragglers along with them. This book is the result of years of craft and grind, yet every page felt breathless and relentless to forge. The myth and vista of One Path are widening—and this is only the beginning.”
Lushly illustrated and cinematic, One Path Book Two, The White King, deepens the emotional and moral terrain established from the acclaimed first book, pushing its heroine further from the world she knew and closer to the mythological unknown.
Perfect for readers who gravitate toward primal survival epics and odysseys, this is a savage wonder of a dinosaur-driven spectacle. Mature in tone and relentless in pacing, it is a series built for readers who want high-stakes storytelling without compromise.
One Path Book Two, The White King, goes on sale June 2, 2026, in paperback and hardcover formats, with Final Order Cut-off May 11. Order from your favorite comic shop, bookstore, or from Mad Cave Studios today!
