TMNT's Casey Jones to Receive First Solo Series in More Than 30 Years
Has it been so long? Casey Jones is getting his own mini-series with an excellent team from IDW Publishing.
Since making his unforgettable first appearance back in 1985’s Raphael micro issue from franchise co-creators Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird, CASEY JONES has skyrocketed in popularity and is undoubtedly one of the most beloved TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES (TMNT) characters. Now, the fan-favorite hero who is known for wielding a hockey stick to fight crime is getting his very own series for the first time in more than 30 years.
IDW Publishing is thrilled to announce TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES: CASEY JONES, arriving in stores this September. This action-packed comic book series brings the courageous character back to his roots from the critically acclaimed team of writer Alex Paknadel (Batman: Urban Legends) and artist Amancay Nahuelpan (Green Arrow) plus colorist Luis Antonio Delgado (TMNT: The Last Ronin).

Now recovered after being shot within the pages of Jason Aaron and Juan Ferreyra’s best-selling TMNT ongoing series, Casey Jones has a second chance at life and he’s going all-out. The vigilante hero’s hitting the streets and doing everything he can to protect the people of New York City, but Raphael and April O’Neil are worried that he’s pushing himself too hard. Things will only get worse as a new strain of mutagen starts changing the landscape of the city and an all-new frightening villain threatens everything Casey believes in.
“As a weird British kid who once had the lyrics to ‘Turtle Power’ committed to memory, I feel like life has come full circle,” joked Paknadel. “IDW and a host of talented creators have deepened and enriched Casey’s mythology over many years, but Amancay and I are making our contribution at a uniquely exciting time. We’re going to be taking Casey back to his roots and confronting him with a terrifying, unstoppable villain who preys on the city’s most vulnerable mutants. If this book is half as much fun to read as it is to make, readers are going to have the time of their lives.”
"I’ve been a big fan of Casey Jones since I saw the cartoons and the movie when it first came out,” remarked Nahuelpan. “Together with Raphael, they’ve always been my favorite TMNT characters and I am a big fan of New York City, so anything related to the Turtles and New York… I’m gonna be more than happy to draw!”
"Casey Jones is one of the best characters in the TMNT universe,” stated series editor Dave Wielgosz. “He's loyal, brave, pure of heart, and as we're going to see in this mini-series… more than a little reckless. Alex and Amancay are going to highlight all the attributes that have made Casey an enduring part of any incarnation of the TMNT he’s been a part of and put him through a challenge the likes of which he's never been through before. If you love street-level vigilante stories and the world of the TMNT, you're going to love our book."
TMNT: CASEY JONES #1 (of 6 issues) is on sale Wednesday, September 10 with a pre-order deadline of Monday, August 4. In addition to Nahuelpan’s exciting cover, the debut issue will also feature incredibly cool variants by Danny Earls and Mike Henderson, plus a black and white variant of Earls’ cover and a sketch variant.
Modern dating is… A BLOODBATH!
Coming in August 2025 from Mad Cave Studios is a new horror/romance in Orla!
Love is a monster… and this summer, it’s hungry!
Mad Cave Studios proudly presents ORLA!, a five-issue miniseries from award-winning writer John Lees (SINK, The Nasty, Hotell) and celebrated horror artist Sally Cantirino (I Walk With Monsters, Human Remains), with colors by Dearbhla Kelly (The Dead Lucky, Bad Karma), letters by Lucas Gattoni (XO Manowar), and Cover B by Lisa Sterle (Witchblood).
Equal parts awkward romance and off-the-wall gorefest, Orla! is a brutally funny take on modern love, monstrous rage, and the terrifying vulnerability of letting someone in.

Orla Bard is an antique restorer, romance novel enjoyer and keen birder. She also believes in true love, continuing to navigate Seattle’s singles scene despite repeated disappointment. But Orla has a secret. She is afflicted with The Ick, a man-eating monstrous entity dwelling inside her, who violently emerges whenever she gets too angry or afraid. Unable to rid herself of this curse, Orla uses The Ick to save other women by removing the scummiest men from the dating pool…permanently. Hearts (and bodies) will be broken in this offbeat romcom/creature-feature mashup!
“Orla! is my take on a rom-com—just with a man-eating monster at its center,” said writer John Lees. “It’s about the pressure to perform the ‘perfect’ version of yourself, and the fear of showing someone who you really are underneath. Working with Sally has been incredible—her art brings Orla and Gwyn to life in ways that surprised even me. Paired with Dearbhla Kelly and Lucas Gattoni, this team is a dream.”
“From the moment John Lees pitched Orla! to me, I fell in love with the story,” said artist Sally Cantirino. “It's hard not to love Orla and The Ick. John's dark humor and Dearbhla Kelly's vibrant colors are a perfect match for this story about the horrors of dating in an age of fragile masculinity and finding love even when you're feeling monstrous.”
Equal parts Lady Killer, Promising Young Woman, and An American Werewolf in London, Orla! is for the sickos who’ve ever wanted to eat the patriarchy—literally. This one’s for the weird girls, the hopeless romantics, the rage-filled daters, and anyone still swiping in hell.
Orla! #1 hits shelves August 6, 2025, from Mad Cave Studios, so preorder now at your local comic shop!
Stitch Brings His Beloved Chaos to New Comic Series!
It’s always fun to see Stitch, and Dyanmite Comics has a new series coming out!
This summer, a brand-new era of Stitch comic books kicks off courtesy of Dynamite Entertainment, Disney, and the creative team of writers Connor Ratliff and James III, artist Greta Xella, and the rest of the crew!
With a juggernaut film set to release soon, Stitch fans of all ages can get excited to complement it with a new era of comics starring the blue-furred phenom. This August, a brand-new title launches with original adventures and mishaps of the beloved Disney classic.

Dr. Jumba Jookiba is the mastermind creator of Stitch, his 626th such experiment. But he's found himself spending a lot of time on Earth recently, distracted from his villainous intergalactic background and expertise. He's in danger of losing his membership in the prestigious organization E.G.G.S. — the Evil Genius Group-slash-Syndicate. His time away has resulted in him being short on "Villain Points" that he needs to re-up his standing in the group. Though he considers himself fairly reformed from his past evil ways, he can't give up the benefits of being a card-carrying E.G.G.S. member. Their dental plan and complimentary travel lounges are too good to let go!
To keep himself qualified, Jumba is going on a spree of evil inventions. Each more frightening than the last, he needs to accrue as many Villain Points as he can, as fast as possible. The only problem is his companions are constantly tampering down his efforts, or throwing a fuzzy, blue wrench into the whole process. Earth expert Agent Pleakley tries to rein in the good doctor. But the unpredictable Stitch is even more of a nuisance, finding a way to ruin each and every new brilliant invention. Writer Connor Ratliff describes the dynamic they're aiming for with the core cast as an addition to the rich legacy of Disney trios, like Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, and Goofy, to The Three Caballeros, and The Three Little Pigs. Fans will get to see some other fan-favorite characters from the franchise too!The new series is scripted by acclaimed writers, comedians, and podcasters Connor Ratliff and James III, known for their work on projects like Tiny Dinos, Dead Eyes, Fairly OddParents: A New Wish, and All That. They're teaming up with Italian artist Greta Xella. A wonderful, unique artist in her own right of course, she is connected to the legendary Mirka Andolfo's Arancia Studio. Which also makes her a peer of Giulia Giacomino who drew the preceding Lilo & Stitch title, providing returning fans with a bit of familiarity and stylistic connection.
"It's not everyday you get asked to write for characters created by your heroes Chris Sanders and Dean DeBlois alongside a comedic mind like your other hero Connor Ratliff, but when that day comes you jump at the opportunity!," said writer James III. "We've cooked up some kooky misadventures that we hope will captivate both diehard Stitch fans and new ones alike."
"It's amazing to see how quickly Stitch has become an essential player in the vast canon of Disney characters," said writer Connor Ratliff. "With Pluto gearing up for his 95th birthday this fall, it occurs to me that, though Stitch is an extraterrestrial with a wild backstory, he is also in some ways the 21st century Disney dog. Is that a hot take? Anyway, James and I had a blast writing these new adventures, and I'm so glad that readers now get to see them brought to life with Greta's fantastic art."
Editor Nate Cosby added, “You are not prepared for how howlingly funny this comic is. This is Stitch at his most hilariously chaotic. The comedic chemistry between Conner, James and Greta is gonna blow your socks off-planet!"
The first issue of Stitch and beyond feature singularly celebratory covers from returning Dynamite Disney veterans like Edwin Galmon, Jae Lee, Ciro Cangialosi, and Jennifer L. Meyer.
STITCH #1 is solicited in Diamond Comic Distributors’ June 2025 Previews catalog, the premier source of merchandise for the comic book specialty market and slated for release in August 2025. Comic book fans are encouraged to preorder copies of the issue with their local comic book retailers. It will also be available for individual customer purchase through digital platforms courtesy of Comixology, Kindle, iBooks, Google Play, Dynamite Digital, ComicsPlus, and more!
Welcome to The Mall. Where your life is the merchandise.
A new graphic novel from Mad Cave Studios. Xero is coming in the Autum of 2025!
Welcome to The Mall. Where your life is the merchandise.
Mad Cave Studios is proud to announce XERO, a defiant, genre-bending original graphic novel from debut writer Vaho and artist Felipe Flores. This haunting dystopian journey blends pop art, manga, and philosophical horror into a searing meditation on late-stage consumerism, false comfort, and the cost of waking up…

The adventures of Xero center on his search for his half-forgotten and pregnant girlfriend, Donna. What’s worse is that he’s stuck in a doomed reality he doesn’t even know he’s trapped in: a subterranean Mall designed to incubate humans until they are sacrificed. As Xero pursues Donna, he unravels a monstrous conspiracy spanning back before an apocalypse he does not even know happened.
Xero discovers that his life in the Endless Mall is really just a waiting game in a sacrificial bubble. His plunge down the rabbit hole will lead him further away from his droll, comfortable life and challenge him to fight against this mega-structure and the malevolent forces behind it.
“Felipe drew a few panels of a recurring dream he had, and I got to build a universe from it!” said Vaho. “He’s granted me access to an ether of ideas I never knew existed. What an absolute honor it’s been working with him and Mad Cave in bringing Xero to life.”
“Xero is a pure comic book,” said Felipe Flores. “We went to Mad Cave and told them we wanted to make a maximal piece of pop art, with each page referencing a different era and style. We wanted to revive the compressed storytelling of the Bronze Age while weaving in and out of Manga, Video Games, and Film—to tell a story that can only be done in comics. Surely, a publisher would need to be mad to allow us to create such a thing.”
Xero pulls readers into a world where nostalgia is weaponized, freedom is a lie, and identity is currency. Filled with Easter Eggs that true comics and pop culture buffs won’t want to miss, this story doesn't just explore dystopia—it rips it wide open, asking: what if you were the product all along?
The OGN is sure to resonate with fans of Severance, Neuromancer, We Live, and Descender—or anyone ready to escape the system before it eats them alive. Xero will be available in bookstores and comic shops on October 7, 2025.
