Muta Yuki is a manga artist and illustrator living in the Nara prefecture of Japan. After graduating from Osaka University of the Arts, they joined a general merchandise planning and design company and worked as a designer and freelance social game illustrator. They draw manga and illustrations, while still working full-time as an in-house designer. They specialize in drawing animals, and they enjoy reading picture books as well as watching documentaries about them. All the line drawings and inking of their manga are done analog, while the storyboards and colors are done digitally. They were a recipient of the SAKURA Exhibition WACOM Award in May 2019. Besides their self-published work, they published two chapters of her series “MAMIE TAYLOR” in Kadokawa’s Aokishi manga magazine in 2022 and 2023.
“To have this opportunity to have my manga translated into English and read outside of Japan is a huge honor,” says Yuki. “I drew this manga as an experience of traveling through Taiwan and eating tasty foods from the point of view of a Japanese person. I took special care to depict the individuality of the staff I met on my travels as well. I’d be incredibly happy if this manga can convey to readers the slightly mysterious but alluring vibe of Taiwan’s foods, but the most important thing is that you have a good time reading it!”
The Cyberpunk Odyssey Between Life and Death Returns
A new volume of Naraka Warrior is coming next year from Nakama Press.
Nakama Press, the acclaimed imprint of Mad Cave Studios, is thrilled to announce NARAKA WARRIOR VOL. 2, the next chapter of the cyberpunk epic from writer Albert Ng and illustrator Jerry Cho, with lettering and translation by Book Buddy Media.

The Naraka Warrior has defied the laws of the liminal area between life and death, leaving the blood of his accusers on his hands and the realm’s maiden messengers concerned by his rebellion. Moreover, his actions have drawn the attention of something far more powerful. In the face of these relentless trials, he will have to summon all of his strength to carve a bloody path back to the world of the living... or be lost in the beyond forever! The battle is far from over.
To celebrate the announcement of Naraka Warrior Vol. 2, Nakama Press is also offering a first look at interior pages from Volume 1, where—after a deadly train crash—the souls of the lost awaken between life and death, guided by enigmatic messengers and forced to face those they wronged or be cast into darkness. Naraka Warrior pairs Hong Kong–born manhua grit with a striking meditation on justice, mercy, and the weight of every choice. Don’t miss this exclusive preview of Naraka Warrior Vol. 1 ahead of its November 11, 2025 release:
For those who crave the sleek dystopia of Blade Runner, the mythic tension of Journey to the West, and the raw moral conflict of Ghost in the Shell, this next chapter is a must-read for cyberpunk fans hungry for high stakes and haunting visuals.
Naraka Warrior Vol. 2 arrives February 10, 2026, from Nakama Press.

Disney’s Gargoyles Celebrate Another Year of Comic Book Adventures With 2025 Winter Special
More Christmas fun announced from Dynamite Comics, with Disney’s Gargoyles!
Manhattan’s stone guardians have been through all manner of adventures and chaos, and one might think they get a break around the winter holidays. In a new special release from Greg Weisman, Nate Cosby, and George Kambadais, fans will find out why that’s not the case this December in the 2025 Gargoyles Winter Special!
For NYPD detective turned girlfriend of the mighty Goliath, Elisa Maza, December is a bittersweet time of year. There are no better sights and sounds than the city that never sleeps, as its streets are strewn with pillowy snow and the bustle and chatter ramps up for the holiday season. A nice perk for Elisa is having a beau who can carry her above the skyscrapers to marvel at all the festive lights and decorations.

On the other hand, the month also brings to mind one of her unsolved crimes early in her career that haunts her to this day. Never able to crack the case and gnawing at her to this day, Elisa shares the story with Goliath. But they’re not the only ones privy to the conversation...
The ever-curious Broadway overhears key snippets, and that’s all he needs to take this mission upon himself to crack this cold case right open. As the resident brilliant detective among the Manhattan Clan — besides Elisa of course — thanks to his binging of lots of crime shows, he’s pretty sure he’s got the whole detective thing figured out. He dons his private eye trench coat and heads out into the frigid, yet beautiful backdrop.
What could possibly go wrong? Well… aside from Broadway not having a ton of detecting experience, he’s accidentally brought on two “assistants.” The gruff (and hard to hide) Bronx, and an extraordinarily barky bull terrier named Lance — as introduced in last year’s critically acclaimed Gargoyles Winter Special. This unlikely trio of crime solvers return to the scene of Elisa’s case, and begin to uncover an incredible mystery that will affect not just Elisa, but every member of the Gargoyles cast! Will Broadway be able to put the case’s puzzle pieces together? Can Elisa find Broadway in time, before he makes an unsolved mystery even worse? Can Bronx and Lance PLEASE STOP BREAKING THINGS!? Find out in “Stone Cold Case!”
Franchise creator Greg Weisman is here of course, and again as with the aforementioned previous special joined in co-writing by usual editor Nate Cosby. Bringing this beautiful tale to the page is George Kambadais, who became a superstar as the initial artist for the Dynamite era of new Gargoyles comics. Packed with 28 stunning story pages, this chilly new chapter is complemented by crystalline covers by Kambadais, Jae Lee, Roger Langridge, and Alessandro Ranaldi.
“Having Broadway put the trench coat and fedora back on to solve a mystery is going to be a ton of fun,” said writer and franchise creator Greg Weisman. “Throw in Bronx and Lance, and the emotional heft that Elisa brings to this unsolved case from her past is just icing on the cake!”
Editor and co-writer Greg Weisman added, “I had an itch to do a holiday mystery, and I’m SO glad that Greg reminded me that Broadway LOVES detective shows (as seen in the classic Gargoyles episode, “Silver Falcon”). We’re embracing the pulpy nature of classic crime stories, full of seedy suspects, switcheroo’s, and a jaw-dropping reveal that nobody (especially Broadway) will see coming!”
