Experience Flash Gordon like never before with three new adventures that move far beyond the galaxy!
Mad Cave Studios continues to expand the Flash Gordon universe with the highly anticipated
FLASH GORDON QUARTERLY #2!
This exciting second installment of the series features a thrilling one-shot The Heart of Arboria by Rich Douek (A Phone Call Away, TMNT), plus two gripping flash-fiction tales including Dale Arden: A Flash Gordon Defenders of the Earth Story by Dan Didio (Sideways), and the chilling Lovecraftian-inspired horror tale Flash Gordon and The Madness of M’nngh – Chapter 1 by GLAAD Media Award winner Marc Andreyko (Supergirl).
The Heart of Arboria by Rich Douek shines the spotlight on Prince Barin, as he faces political intrigue, dangerous enemies, and a fragile alliance with the Apemen where he struggles to save Arboria from a ruthless intergalactic merchant and his army of robotic combatants while forging an unexpected alliance to reclaim his home.
Dale Arden: A Flash Gordon Defenders of the Earth Story is a provoking exploration of Dale Arden's consciousness, which is trapped within Mongo's technological empire. This story reclaims her narrative, granting Dale agency in the digital realm as she strives to reconnect with her family on Earth. Meanwhile, in Flash Gordon and The Madness of M’nngh – Chapter 1, Flash faces a cosmic terror that is unlike anything he has encountered before. Two exciting tales readers won’t want to miss!
Rich Douek spoke of the project:
“I’m sure everyone says this, but I could almost hear Freddie Mercury singing ‘Flash! Aah-aa!’ when I was asked to join this project. Flash Gordon is a character I’ve loved through all his incarnations—from the comic strip to the cartoons, and yes, the movie. Contributing to such a rich legacy was a treat in itself, but having the chance to help shape the universe that Jeremy, Will, and the team at Mad Cave are building with the main title made it even more exciting!”
Flash Gordon Quarterly #2 lands in comic shops on Dec. 18th and is now available for preorder.

Joe, Return of the Living Deadpool)—the sci-fi adventure returns bigger and bolder than ever!
The crew of the Verisimilitude is back and Vigil's search for her lost parents continues...while following their footsteps in trying to unlock the secrets and strangeness of the universe! But will the team survive the madness of the galaxy?! Find out in the newest installment of this four-color fantasy!
"I love old sci-fi, especially ’50s and ’60s films like Forbidden Planet and the Showa-Era Godzilla movies, with their colorful adventure, glittery astronaut suits, and rubber monsters,” said Victor Santos. “So, when Magdalene and Mike asked me to work on Galaxy of Madness Vol. 2, I couldn’t refuse—it was a perfect chance to explore this imagery and try new storytelling styles inspired by classic comics. Having collaborated with Mags on Tales of Nottingham, I admire her ability to create a diverse cast of deeply human, though sometimes extreme, characters. Working with Mad Cave has been so seamless; I hope this is just the beginning."
"Victor and I have been friends and fans of each other’s work for nearly 20 years,” said Michael Avon Oeming. “He’s one of the best storytellers in comics, with his abstract, high-contrast style being a major reason I collaborate with him frequently. He's truly one of the industry's best-kept secrets, and he's like a brother to me, so I was thrilled when he took over the second half of Galaxy of Madness. Strap in!"
Dive into cosmic thrills and unforgettable adventure, the first of 5 issues in this exciting second volume, Galaxy of Madness #6 lands in comic shops on Feb. 5th, 2025.
