A Cozy Winter Adventure with Everyone’s Favorite Snowgies
Out at the end of July 2026 is a Frozen Snowgies Sleepover graphic novel from Papercutz.
A winter storm is on its way, and Arendelle is preparing for a night unlike any other. In DISNEY KIDS COMICS: FROZEN SNOWGIES SLEEPOVER, a brand-new all-ages graphic novel from Mad Cave Studios’ Papercutz imprint, beloved characters from Disney Frozen return in a charming story filled with warmth, humor, and unexpected surprises.Written by GLAAD Award-winning writer David M. Booher (Canto), illustrated by Italian artist Licinia Tozzi, with colors by Sil Brys (DC Super Hero Girls) and lettering by Chas! Pangburn (Double Booking), this delightful tale is designed especially for young readers ages 4-7, blending playful storytelling with expressive, engaging artwork.

A bad snowstorm heads toward Arendelle. Worried about the strong winds and cold, Elsa and Anna bring the villagers into the castle to wait out the storm. At the same time, Olaf, Kristoff, and Sven bring the Snowgies down from the Ice Palace to make sure they aren’t scared during the storm. However, as Anna and Elsa host the villagers in the crowded castle, Kristoff, Sven, and Olaf find babysitting the Snowgies to be…challenging.
Writer David M. Booher said, “I’ve always wanted to visit Arendelle, especially during a snowstorm. I’m a huge fan of Olaf, Kristoff, and Sven, and I knew if Anna and Elsa put them in charge of the Snowgies while they hunkered down from the storm, hijinks would ensue. I hope you curl up with a cup of hot cocoa and enjoy reading this story as much as I enjoyed writing it!”
For those who love Disney Frozen and young readers just beginning their comics journey, Disney Kids Comics: Frozen Snowgies Sleepover captures the magic of friendship, the comfort of community, and the joy of a little mischief on a snowy night.
Disney Kids Comics: Frozen Snowgies Sleepover goes on sale July 28, 2026, in hardcover (ISBN: 9781545827826 | $14.99). Preorder today from papercutz.com.

A Wish Worth Chasing Awaits in Ever Trip
Nedd and Karter are collecting pieces of the Ever Star in Ever Trip from Papercutz.
Two brothers set out on a madcap road-trip adventure to collect the seven pieces of the Ever Star, discovering wild worlds, unforgettable friends, and the power of chasing your one true wish!
This fall, Papercutz, the kids imprint of Mad Cave Studios, proudly presents EVER TRIP VOL. 1, a vibrant middle-grade graphic novel from writer A.C. Medina (Dead Head, Puerto Rico Strong) and Chicago-based artist Max Bare, featuring color assistance by Allison Bilbey and lettering by Lucas Gattoni. Bursting with imaginative worldbuilding, video game-inspired adventure, and a lovable cast of characters, Ever Trip sends readers on a fast-paced journey filled with humor, heart, and discovery.
Trip into adventure with Nedd and Karter!
Legend has it that when the seven pieces of the Ever Star are brought together, all in its presence are granted their one true wish. This is an Ever Trip. Brothers Nedd and Karter have dreamt their whole lives of going on their very own Ever Trip...and now their van is loaded up and the time has finally come!
Along the way, Nedd and Karter create a band of friends and adventurers: Macha the realest rollerblading bear, Mo the mechanical monk and martial artist, Lex.e the form-less artificial being (that’s also very naturally intelligent), and Crys the child of the illusive Mt. Colossus--a literal mountain! Traveling the digital streets of Network City or protecting the ancient roots of the Infinitree, the boys’ journey finds the attention of Princess Roma, whose kingdom floats above the world in the AstroNova Constellation.
Can they collect all seven pieces of the Ever Star? Find out in this madcap road trip adventure with your new BFFs, Nedd and Karter, as they discover vibrant worlds, equip new friends, encounter (and defeat!) random enemies in a road trip that’s a real wish come true!
Reflecting on the long road that led to the book's creation, A.C. Medina shared:
“I can still remember the first story I ever wanted to tell. Fast forward to 2020, a dark year for many reasons, when imagination became one of the few escapes to happier places, and I found myself returning to that idea. That's when I put pen to paper and promised myself that when the world returned to something resembling normal, Ever Trip would be the first project I'd bring to life. In many ways, that's the best way to describe this book—an ultimate escape filled with joy, wonder, and adventure. It's the story I've carried with me the longest, and I was incredibly fortunate to bring it to life alongside the right creative partner, team, and publisher. At its heart, it's a journey fueled by dreams, friendship, and the pursuit of something bigger than yourself, and being able to share it with readers has truly been a wish come true for me.”
And Artist Max Bare spoke to building the book’s characters, capturing the excitement of adventure:
“When A.C. rolled up with this story about the most epic of road trips, I just had to jump in for the ride! What attracted me right away was the variety of fun characters that make up Nedd & Karter’s adventuring party. Soon the sketchbook started to fill as we designed a vibrant cast. Each carries their own story, strengths, and struggles in their look; Nedd & Karter behind the wheel, always with room for one more. Since I was a kid, I have loved long car rides, full of mix tapes, games, and silliness to pass the time with plenty of drawing on the passenger side. We wanted to capture the fun of a road trip, that anticipation of new experiences, adventures, and friends you make along the way.”
Packed with unforgettable characters, imaginative worlds, and heartwarming friendships, Ever Trip invites readers on an epic quest fueled by wonder, discovery, and the possibility of having their greatest wish come true!
Ever Trip Vol. 1 arrives October 6, 2026, in paperback (ISBN: 9781545833988 | $10.99) and hardcover (ISBN: 9781545833995 | $15.99) formats. Preorder now through their local comic shop, bookstore, or at papercutz.com.
Three best friends. Three lofty fathers. And a monster with three faces.
Maverick has announced the upcoming fantasy adventure, The Three Beasts.
Sometimes you have to ask yourself which is harder: facing a three-headed hydra, or living up to your father's expectations?
Maverick, the YA imprint of Mad Cave Studios, proudly announces THE THREE BEASTS VOL. 1, a daring and emotionally charged fantasy about legacy, rebellion, and the courage it takes to define yourself. The Three Beasts
An exciting 256-page epic written, illustrated, and colored by Grovey Pascasio, with lettering by Buddy Beaudoin and Chas! Pangburn, unfolds in an alternate historical, late-19th-century Philippines, drawing from multiple Philippine cultures, including Kapampangan, Tagalog, Tausug, and Meranaw. Blending cinematic dragon battles with intimate emotional stakes, the story reflects Grovey’s love of queer romance, complicated family dynamics, and mythic creatures, with a fantastical setting inspired by the lands around the Pampanga River and her favorite legend from Philippine mythology, woven with subtle personal touches throughout.

Ten years ago, the Great Tamers saved the people of Punong Panday from a giant hydra, turning the once savage beast into a peacekeeper. Now, these three men are known across the land as legends. But for Dima, Espie, and Keris, the Great Tamers are more than legends... They're their fathers. And to become worthy successors, the young friends must each prove themselves in a physical contest against the hydra, Matutum.
Dima is too meek and untalented, especially compared to the short-tempered Espie. Even their cool mentor Keris never stood a chance at winning. When their dreams become a deadly game of pride, they have to find a way out together—with their blades drawn, and their fathers' legacies burnt to ashes.
Draconic action, intimately written friendships, and a lush setting all come together in The Three Beasts, from debut author-illustrator Grovey Pascasio.
For Grovey, the book is both a spectacle and something deeply personal:
“The Three Beasts is everything I could've wanted in one indulgent debut. It's a love letter to the stories that inspired me, to the dragons I've enjoyed drawing all my life, to the many different cultures in the Philippines that inspired my characters and settings (Kapampangan, Tagalog, Tausug, Meranaw, and more), and to the queer friendships that nourish me now—
I hope my book guides readers in examining their own family histories, just as the process of creating this comic brought me closer to the many people who created me. But most of all, I hope queer readers find a home in The Three Beasts —especially trans kids, young lesbians, and those who are both.”
With expressive character design, woodcut-inspired art direction, and a diverse lesbian and trans cast at its heart, The Three Beasts delivers a fantasy that is as intimate as it is explosive. Perfect for readers of Nimona, Prince and the Dressmaker, Witchy, and The Well, The Three Beasts blends action, folklore, and queer coming-of-age storytelling!
The Three Beasts Vol. 1 goes on sale October 27, 2026, in paperback (ISBN: 9781545827635 | $14.99) and hardcover (ISBN: 9781545836026 | $21.99) formats, and is now available for preorder at your local bookstore and from Maverickgraphicnovels.com.
