Don't Combust: The Comic Series - Episode 1
Joshua Thornton's Kickstarter, Don’t Combust, is coming soon. This first issue of a fantasy epic has digital and physical release tiers planned.
This looks to be an entertaining read and has my curiosity!

Don't Combust is a slow-burn progression fantasy epic that focuses on two brothers whose lives are changed by a demonic hole that appears in Bisbee, Arizona. That hole, the town destroyed by its appearance, and the demons that spew from the hole, are the central focus for the first half of the story. Ultimately, the hole's appearance acts as the backdrop for a much larger conflict that reveals itself as the book unfolds over time.

There is a new addition to Zoop, and it’s funding now. With an excellent team on board, this looks like a lot of fun.
Every once in a while we need laughter, especially in today’s world of daily craziness. And thankfully, we have that now with
Sh!tkickers! The book launches today on the Zoop crowdfunding platform from The Pedestrian’s Joey Esposito and Italian artist Andrea Schiavone.
Sh!tkickers is a series that lives somewhere between the humor of the Jump Street films and the high-stakes action of Guardians of the Galaxy—with a little Starship Troopers for garnish.
When the cocky and entitled Dylan Jax joins the Cosmic Protection Bureau and is assigned to menial busywork alongside a grumpy alien vet, he’s forced to confront the reality that his great destiny was just a lie his mommy fed him, and that the organization he’s committed his life to isn’t as benevolent as it claims to be.
But underneath the juvenile jokes and bad attitudes, this is a story about fighting against a system designed to oppress, even if it takes you a while to realize the side you should be fighting for isn’t the side you’re on. It’s about finding your place in the universe with a little help from your friends and the importance of chosen family. It’s about telling your past to piss off so you can carve out your own future.
In addition to the book, rewards and add-ons include signed editions, sketches, original art, and more.
Zoop CEO, Jordan Plosky shares “this is the kind of book I love. Comedy comics are some of my favorite, and after seeing this one, I knew we had to host it on Zoop.”
