Over on crowdfunding site Zoop, Zenescope Entertainment has a new crowdfunder running for comics fans. A new deckbuilding game based on their hit series, Grimm Fairy Tales.
The collaboration between Zoop and Zenescope isready to take you to another world
Launching today on Kickstarter is the first collaboration between Zoop and Zenescope -
Grimm Fairy Tales: Unbound. This is Zenescope’s first time utilizing their characters for a deckbuilding game that is licensed, designed and developed by the crowdfunding platform, Zoop.
Fans of Zenescope’s comics can now engage with their favorite stories and characters in a more interactive way. Players choose their favorite heroes to playas, and defend the realms of the Zenescope Universe from its main villain, The Dark One and his evil hordes.
The game is for fans of deckbuilding games, card games, tabletop games, and of course Zenescope comics. There are many Kickstarter Exclusive Items, as well as collectible packs, boxes of cards, as well as the ever present “Z-Rated” packs of cards for the Zenescope faithful. Fans can also snag a limited amount of uncut sheets of collectible cards, or even get drawn into the game as a character.
The game debuted this past weekend at the Zenescope VIP Event in Austin, TX and received rave reviews from those who played. Aspects of the game, such as the art, collaborative gameplay, and mechanics of the game were all lauded by fans.
Zoop Co-Founder & CEO, Jordan Plosky says, “This is a new challenge for us, both as a licensor, and using Kickstarter as a platform. We’re really excited by the response so far, and can’t wait to see what comes next!”
Zenescope President & Co-Ownder, Joe Brusha states, “We're beyond thrilled to bring a deck-building game set in the Grimm Fairy Tales universe to life! Zoop Games have done an incredible job designing a gaming experience that’s both engaging and true to the world we've built. As a fan of classic games, from Dungeons & Dragons to Monopoly to deck-builders, I can’t wait to dive in myself. Seeing our characters and stories come alive in a whole new medium is exciting, and I think both gamers and Zenescope fans are going to love it!”
