Mullets
Over on the comics crowdfunding site Zoop, there is a collection of the comic strip Mullets by Steve McGarry and Rick Stromoski and with special guest Luke McGarry
There have been many firsts on the Zoop crowdfunding platform lately. And today is no different. For the first time ever, the entire syndicated comic strip,
Mullets by Steve McGarry and Rick Stromoski is being collected all in one glorious graphic novel package. The book will also feature the title’s only new content in years from McGarry’s son, Luke McGarry who is contributing a brand new 12 page story to the book.
They say write about what you know … so Steve McGarry and Rick Stromoski created a comic strip about two idiots.
Meet Kevin and Scab, two mulleted morons employed at Mildew’s Hardware Store by Kevin’s long-suffering dad, Kenneth. There’s Britney, the Goddess of Register Three and the object of Scab’s unrequited love, and Old George, who still has all his marbles but just can’t remember where he put them.
Quite simply, it’s the funniest comic strip you never read.
In addition to the book, rewards and add-ons include signatures, sketches, original art, and more. There’s going to be something for everyone, and every type of collector in this campaign!
Zoop CEO, Jordan Plosky shares “This is such a fun project! It brings me back to my childhood days before phones, when you’d be grabbing for the comics section of the newspaper while eating your cereal at the breakfast table. Steve and Rick have been a joy to work with, and we can’t wait to see this book in print.”

The Carrion Collection: Shadows, Nils, and Temudjin
New from Magnetic Press is The Carrion Collection: Shadows, Nils, and Temudjin, which is now being funded on Kickstarter.
Now live on Kickstarter from Magnetic Press: The Carrion Collection—three beautifully illustrated fantasy tales from celebrated French artist Antoine Carrion, also known as ‘Tentacle Eye’.
Renowned for his emotive and cinematic digital art, Carrion skillfully blends history and fantasy, creating visually compelling worlds. Featuring White Shadows, Nils, and Temudjin, each story in the collection comes alive with hypnotic visuals and moving depictions of human vulnerability. His work turns every page into a cinematic experience that must be seen to be truly appreciated!
White Shadows
A kidnapped prince holds the key to a kingdom in conflict, but the mysterious Beast who took him may prove more dangerous than the whispers suggest. Written by Antoine Ozanam, this medieval tale of power and betrayal rivals Game of Thrones, featuring intricate alliances and dark supernatural undertones. Carrion's intricate illustrations enrich the plot, making each page a visual feast. A true tale of power and betrayal.
Nils
Written by Jérôme Hamon, is a visionary post-apocalyptic fantasy in a world where crops have mysteriously ceased to grow. A young boy and his father embark on a journey to uncover the truth behind a technological empire draining life-giving spirits for selfish gains. Drawing from Norse mythology and Japanese Kami, Nils is a lushly illustrated tale exploring the consequences of environmental disregard.
Temudjin
This legendary Eastern epic, inspired by the rise of Genghis Khan, Temudjin transports readers to an ancient world where a reluctant leader possesses the ability to communicate with spirits. The mystical and historical collide in this operatic story, as he grapples with destiny and the burden of leadership. Antoine Ozanam's poetic writing and Carrion's dreamlike art breathe life into this timeless legend.
Magnetic Press offers exclusive Kickstarter editions, including a 104-page White Shadows Hardcover Trade Edition with linen texture and spot-UV gloss, plus a Deluxe Die-cut Edition with an acetate sleeve, gatefold map, and collectible key coin. Nils returns in a premium Softcover Edition with updated cover art and a gallery of concept designs, while Temudjin is presented in a stunning 9x12" gallery-sized hardcover with silver foil and signature curved corners.
