A new way to support creators and buy comics on the crowdfunding platform Zoop.
The first of its kind marketplace is now live at Zoop.gg/store
Since their launch in 2021, Zoop has taken the crowdfunding world by storm. With their full service offering differentiating themselves from the competition in the space, Zoop has not only taken a piece of the market, but brought new creators to crowdfunding by lowering the barrier to entry. And now Zoop is doing it again, but this time with their new e-commerce marketplace for creators.
Starting today, Zoop is solving the problem of what happens after a successful crowdfunding campaign? Where can a creator continue to sell their books? Other platforms allow continued purchases through the creator’s individual campaign page, but Zoop has unveiled a first of its kind marketplace for creators as an additional revenue stream on their projects.
This is an extension of Zoop’s full service platform, providing a white glove solution for e-commerce. This means that Zoop will handle the technology, the web page creation, the credit card processing, the warehousing, fulfillment, shipping rates, and more for creators. This model creates passive revenue for creators who have product they don’t know how to sell, don’t have a web presence to sell, or are looking for as many sales channels as possible.
The first offerings include the incredibly successful Comics For Ukraine anthology that features covers by Alex Ross, Bill Seinkeiwiecz, Art Adams, and Dave Johnson, with contributions by Walter and Louise Simonson, Joe Jusko, Stan Sakai, Colleen Doran, Liam Sharp, Pia Guerra, Matt Wagner, Mark Waid, and others. The opening slate also boasts Resolution by Ron Marz, Andy Lanning and Netho Diaz, Full Tilt by Jason Copland, Ax-Wielder Jon by Nick Pitarra, and many more.
Zoop’s CEO, Jordan Plosky says “this is the next logical progression in Zoop’s desire to support creators in as many ways as we can. We are excited to offer another service that puts money in creators’ pockets, and are also looking to work with creators whose projects don’t originate on Zoop.”
Launching soon is Cabra Cini: Voodoo Junkie Hitwoman #0 Deluxe, which collects all of Cabra's appearances and related sub-plots from Geek-Girl #5-#9, and - illustrated by Bruno Letizia and for the first time with colour by Chunlin Zhao - Cabra Cini: Voodoo Junkie Hitwoman #0, featuring Cabra's origin story.
Take Jessica Jones, Deadpool and Doom Patrol and blend - and you get supernatural gun-for-hire, Cabra Cini!
