Russell is now a successful crime lord and he is married again, but he never helped his former family. And Ginger blames him for her mom’s death.

Archie Comics is reprinting the classics with a new printing of Betty & Me #16.
Over more than 80 years of publishing and pop culture history, Archie Comics has built a vast library of memorable cover gags, first character appearances, and fan-favorite stories. Many of these sought-after collector’s items will be returning to print in a new line of faithful reproductions known as “facsimile editions,” launching in August. The program kicks off with a reprint of 1968’s BETTY & ME #16, sporting a world-famous widely memed cover by Archie legend Dan DeCarlo.
“We use the word ‘iconic’ a lot at Archie and it’s with good reason,” said Archie Comics CEO & Publisher Jon Goldwater. “We’re in our ninth decade of publishing the adventures of Archie and the gang, and that has naturally given us the runway to make a big impact. There have been so many touchstones through the years, whether it’s the debut of major new characters like Josie and the Pussycats and Sabrina, or the smaller things fans have come to cherish, the quick gags and sweet scenes that over time have built such strong character personalities and a lasting legacy. The Facsimile Editions are a way for us to celebrate some of these iconic moments with our most dedicated readers in comics that instantly recall the past, while introducing new readers to what makes Archie special, as well.”
Facsimiles are a soaring trend in comics, giving today’s readers a chance to own affordable versions of valuable issues without breaking the bank. And though many of these stories are available in trade paperback collections, facsimiles are printed in the original single-issue format, including all the vintage ads, editorial pages, and letter columns that fans enjoyed when they picked up the first printings decades ago, a reading experience that’s like going back in time.
“The whole Facsimile lineup is a real treat for collectors and fans; first appearances, all-timer cover gags, and important moments in Archie history, it’s all here,” said Archie Comics Editor-in Chief Mike Pellerito. “We’ve really gone deep to find the best of the best, not just in terms of great stories but genuinely classic issues that are works of art unto themselves as complete comic books, cover-to-cover.”
BETTY AND ME #16: FACSIMILE EDITION releases August 7 in comic shops nationwide, with stories by Joe Edwards, Frank Doyle, Dan DeCarlo, and many other legendary Archie Comics creators. It will be available for pre-order on May 24.

Hollow Girl – Vol 18: The Things Left Unfinished
I need you to trust me one last time.
When Hannah fails to save a young girl from a serial killer, the toll of taking on the role of Hollow Girl finally gets too much for her, and she ends up voluntarily returning to Southdown Mental Hospital.
But all is not as it appears. Within the hospital, in the secure wing, lies a dark secret – a patient that shouldn’t be there, couldn’t be there, and whose very existence will change everything.
Featuring the return of a few familiar faces and a dollop of demonic possession, Hollow Girl: The Things Left Unfinished is written and illustrated by series creator Luke Cooper with a mesmerising cover by Lee Milner (Shift).
Vault Comics has announced a new mature comics line, Threshold, which kicks off with Lilith for adult readers.
Vault has announced a new mature readers imprint, Threshold, under which the publisher will release spicy comics for adult readers. The first title under the new imprint will be Lilith, a phenomenal sexy horror series written and drawn by Corin Howell, with colors by Warnia Sahadewa, letters by Jim Campbell, and design by Tim Daniel.
The Threshold imprint will maintain Vault’s well-known and beloved focus on genres such as science fiction, fantasy, and horror, but with a spicy new twist. Lilith is just the first of many Threshold series to be announced in the coming months.
The character of Lilith, created by Howell, is a genuine social media phenomenon. Howell’s Lilith illustrations have become a phenomenon, garnering millions of likes on Howell’s social platforms, making Lilith one of the most popular original illustrated characters on social media. And now, Lilith will be the star of her own unforgettable comic book series.
Lilith is an immortal who's been banished from her home, a dimensional plane suspiciously similar to mankind's idea of hell. She's been posing as a model on Earth while secretly preying on humans. That is, until she runs into Penelope, a sweet bookstore owner with a tome that might hold the secret to returning Lilith to her home dimension. If the mismatched pair doesn't end up falling in love first!
“I work primarily in horror, I love monsters and creature features, and drawing it used to give me some semblance of calm, but the ease was always short-lived,” said Howell. “Until one night, when watching YouTube videos and doodling on my iPad. I decided to stray away from the usual monster and creature prompts and dive into drawing a beautiful woman with black hair, an appetite for blood, and piercing red eyes. I found myself at ease, more so when drawing her in red, her outfit blending with the background similar to the style of Rene Grau, and the only thing indicating her shape was the splatter of black “blood” that soaked her figure. It was a “Screw it,” moment when I threw her out onto social media, thinking, “Whatever, no one's gonna like this.
“I completely and utterly underestimated the internet.
“The positive feedback kind of motivated me to try another piece, and again I was met with ease in my mind when setting down more lines of her devilish figure. Adding a severed head was a cherry on top, something funny to indicate that perhaps she killed an unfaithful lover or maybe he just pissed her off that day. With every new illustration, I found myself having fun drawing this little lady and started pondering whether or not she needed a name. One night, when talking to my friend Sasha online, she shared her thoughts, “She looks like a ‘Lilith’.” And since then, it stuck. Simultaneously, Lilith’s story developed into this journey of how a cold, distant monster finds companionship, and along the way learns to move on from her past.”
Lilith #1 will hit store shelves in August 2024. The debut issue will feature an incredible line of variant covers drawn by legendary artists Jae Lee, Tula Lotay, Zoe Thorogood, Angela Wu, and more.
