As an introduction to the story goes, this has a lot going on!
There are vampires, hence the name of the story, and with that comes Steve, the vampire hunter. He also delivers pizza.
From here we jump straight in, with a full-on vampire battle, featuring blood, gore and nuns! Yes, and that looks like it is building into the main plot.
This is a frantic and fast-paced issue, only slowing down as the dust settles in the final quarter of the story. Even so, it keeps you gripped to the very end of the story and wondering what comes next.
The artwork is brilliant in the story, with some brilliant action scenes and clever work done with the larger panels and what is happening across the pages.
A fantastic sequence near the end shows this off well, moves the story on well, and teases for the future too.
This was a great beginning with some nice aspects and choc-full of action to excite you.
There is a special note for the adverts throughout - some fun spoof ones break up the tension and add a little something to the reading experience!
The plan is to go live on June 2, 2025.
