I’ve long been a fan of Matt Garvey’s work. I think I own nearly all of his comics too! Matt also created some guides on making your own comics, as well as a selection of videos for the aspiring creator. This was taken from many years of trial and error of making his own.

The reason this nomination is so special to me is that the book was created to help people who have never been published before learn the comic-making craft and take those first steps towards creating a comic of their own.
I featured Matt in Custard - The Chocolate Pudding Issue (issue #6), and that was when he was producing some excellent videos for creators.
