Reuniting Acclaimed Duo Francesca Perillo & Stefano Cardoselli Comes A Heartbeat in a World of Wires.
A fascinating-looking new series from Mad Cave Studios with Where Does The Rainbow End?
In a world built from rust and circuitry, one girl’s humanity becomes the rarest resource of all.
Mad Cave Studios is proud to announce WHERE DOES THE RAINBOW END?, a striking new sci-fi series from writer Francesca Perillo and artist Stefano Cardoselli—the acclaimed duo behind Don’t Spit in the Wind, Love Me: A Romance Story, and Long Cold Winter. Reuniting their Love Me creative team, the series features colorist Lorenzo Scaramella (Long Cold Winter), letterer Buddy Beaudoin (Eat Your Young), with a variant cover by Irish artist and animator Stephen Byrne (Serenity, Green Arrow, Wonder Twins).

Gilda has been abandoned by her parents, but fortunately, she has been discovered in the Cacace Bros. Robot Dump...and has been raised by the robots who found her. She was lucky to be discovered in the Rainbow Sector by machines that cared for her—but also shielded her from the outside world, from other humans, and from the dangerous Dark Cage, where the most hostile of robots live. Word spreads of her uncanny ability to fix broken robots, and soon one vicious machine from the Dark Cage demands she repair the violent robots that dwell there...and nothing will stop him.
Where Does the Rainbow End? blends post-human philosophy and emotional sci-fi into a powerful meditation on isolation, empathy, and what it means to belong in a mechanical world.
“We all long to explore a world outside of our own, far from the one we grew up in,” said Francesca Perillo. “At a certain point, the walls of our bedrooms become too small for us, and the games we used to play no longer satisfy us. It’s a time of growth and change; dealing with it isn’t always easy. I was interested in exploring this theme further: highlighting the anger we can feel when, as children, we feel misunderstood and fear we’re no longer loved. It’s painful, and it changes us.”
“I enjoyed working on the drawings for Where Does the Rainbow End? because the story is about integration: a theme that concerns us all in these difficult times,” said Stefano Cardoselli. “I didn’t want to draw the robots as cold, calculating machines, but rather as people. A bit like in Love Me. A Romance Story, here too the common thread is the desire to give robots a soul, making us forget that they are robots.”
For those who love Blade Runner 2049, Descender, and Sweet Tooth; Where Does the Rainbow End? delivers the emotional resonance of human drama against a bleak, beautiful landscape of rust and redemption.
Where Does the Rainbow End? #1 hits shelves and digital platforms on January 14, 2026, with final order cutoff on December 1, 2025.
A Collision of Worlds, A War Beneath the Streets
Endless Night has been collected and is coming soon from Mad Cave Studios.
Mad Cave Studios unleashes the chaos of Underworld in ENDLESS NIGHT, the high-octane crossover from Mark London (Battlecats, Hunt.Kill.Repeat.) and Tom Derenick (Justice League), colorist Juancho Velez (Defenders of the Earth), and letterer Simon Bowland (2000 AD). Collected for the first time in trade paperback, this 96-page epic brings together the most dangerous antiheroes from Mad Cave’s universe of shadows, secrets, and supernatural warfare.

When Axel Black, an obsessive tech billionaire and head of the sinister Order of Nine, sends his operatives to Exit City in search of a dangerous mystical artifact, only a team of unlikely allies from different corners of the underworld can prevent an apocalyptic catastrophe: VELVETEEN, the elite rogue assassin hellbent on revenge; McCORMICK & MILLER, two detectives keeping peace in a lawless city; and OWEN BLACKWOOD, a monster hunter duty-bound to stop evil. But tensions are mounting, and time is running out!
Collecting all 4 issues of Endless Night, this pulse-pounding trade is a must-have for fans of action, horror, and noir, and the essential gateway into Mark London’s Underworld universe.
If you’re a fan of The Sixth Gun or Killadelphia—stories where myth, horror, and humanity collide—don’t miss Endless Night. Pick up the trade paperback from your local comic shop, directly from Mad Cave, or on your favorite digital platform on November 18, 2025.
