Science-fiction mystery coming soon in this collected edition of the Mad Cave Studios comic, Missing On The Moon.
Your next neon-noir obsession and favorite sci-fi series is on the way!
Mad Cave Studios is thrilled to announce the release of the trade paperback collection of MISSING ON THE MOON, from writer Cory Crater (The Codex) and Argentinian comic book artist Damian Couceiro (Sons of Anarchy, Planet of the Apes, TMNT)!
Set in the wreckage of 1997’s Lunar colony of Buzztown, Missing on the Moon is a gritty, retro-cyberpunk noir from Crater, Couceiro, colorist Patricio Delpeche, and letterer Hassan Otsmane-Elhaou. When a billionaire’s daughter disappears, the case falls to Daniel Schwinn—a washed-up PI with nothing left to lose and just enough resolve to go looking.
The year is 1997, and crime on the Moon runs rampant…and in the Lunar colony of Buzztown, a billionaire’s daughter has just gone missing. Washed-up private investigator Daniel Schwinn is tasked with finding the missing child, but in the process discovers a dark conspiracy stemming back decades…
Schwinn will have to navigate a world of undead drug addicts, mechanized robocops, and blue-skinned Soviets known as Darksiders to discover the truth. In doing so, he’ll have to confront his own allegiances and try to atone for past mistakes since resurfaced.
A series perfect for fans of H.G. Wells and James A. Corey, and titles such as Gideon Falls, Total Recall, and Judge Dredd, Missing on the Moon drops June 17, 2025.
When the truth is out there, you build a giant robot to find it.
Coming soon from Mad Cave Studios is the first volume of the futuristic thriller Synap.
The future is psychic. The past is alien. And the family secret is bigger than all of it!
Collecting the full first arc of the Mad Cave Studios series, from writer Chris Moses (Control Z) and breakout Italian artist Andrea Giannini comes the trade paperback debut of SYNAP VOL. 1, the mind-bending mech adventure with a human core.
In the year 2030, a family-run private defense company, Synap, secretly puts together the pieces of a mysterious giant robot while training psychically gifted individuals to one day control it. However, with the startling increase in UFO sightings, the family finds their time is running out to assemble the ancient machine.
With colors by James Offredi and letters by Reed Hinckley-Barnes, Synap pushes genre boundaries while celebrating representation with a diverse, emotionally complex cast—including biracial and non-binary characters.
Whether you’re here for the high-octane mech fights or the found-family feels, this one’s not to be missed.

Top Shelf Celebrates the Spirits of Halloween with Spoops!!!!
Halloween already! Top Shelf is on it with announcing a new Halloween story - Spoops.
Discover the Whimsical Magic Behind Halloween in this Timeless New Illustrated Fable for the Whole Family
Every few years there comes along a story so delightfully refreshing, but with such an overwhelming sense of déjà vu it feels like being introduced to an old friend. Come meet the Spoops in SPOOPS: The Little Spirits of Halloween! Arriving September 2, 2025, SPOOPSis the charming debut children’s book from celebrated voice actor and writer AJ LoCascio and illustrator Laurie A. Conley, published by the award-winning independent graphic novel publisher Top Shelf Productions (an imprint of IDW Publishing). Destined to be an instant classic, SPOOPS is the empowering story of Holly Hollowell, a little girl obsessed with Halloween as “It’s the time when I’m most me!”
“I’m absolutely thrilled beyond words to have SPOOPS: The Little Spirits of Halloween finally coming out!” says LoCascio, who also created the original designs of each little spirit. “Halloween is my absolute favorite time of year and Spoops have become a way of expressing that love all year round. I started sculpting them for myself, but when I posted pictures of them online, other people wanted Spoops of their own… and before I knew it I had hand-made thousands of little Spoops for fellow Halloween enthusiasts all over the world! So many adults and children wanted to know more about these little Halloween spirits, and that is how the book came to be!”
“I was so excited when AJ asked me to draw the art for SPOOPS! Bringing the story to life with illustrations was an honor. I had so much fun creating each image and getting to draw both the Spoops and the main character Holly who (like me) feels most happy strolling through cemeteries!” says illustrator Laurie Conley. “I hope readers enjoy this book as much as I loved making the illustrations for it.”

Young Holly Hollowell loves Halloween more than anything, but her dentist parents are totally against any event that promotes tooth-rotting sweets. While other kids trick-or-treat, Holly watches sadly from her window…until the Spoops arrive to turn things around! With their magical help, Holly can finally show her parents the true spirit of Halloween: not the candy, but the joy of expressing yourself, unleashing your imagination, and letting your spooky side soar!
Presented in rhyming verse that recalls Dr. Seuss and “’Twas the Night Before Christmas,” along with nostalgic illustrations in black, white, and orange, Spoops is an instantly timeless classic that places Halloween right alongside other beloved holidays.
SPOOPS: The Little Spirits of Halloween will be available wherever books are sold, as a full-color hardcover children’s book (ISBN: 9781603095617) as well as a digital edition, on September 2, 2025. For more information please visit the Top Shelf web site.
