Timebomb Comics has announced the upcoming Kickstarter of their ongoing anthology series of Flintlock. The excellent series is up to book six and is worth checking out.
The new 68-page collection features the shocking 28-page finale to the story of the titular Lady Flintlock, along with returns from fan favourite characters like Peg Sparrowhawk and the Clockwork Cavalier.
As with previous volumes of Flintlock, the new collection features separate stories set across the eighteenth century. With historical heroes and anti-heroes as diverse as pirates, highway women and samurai, there is something to draw in every type of reader.
Written by Time Bomb publisher, Steve Tanner, Flintlock has been the company’s flagship title since the publication of the first volume in 2016. Since then, Flintlock has seen a new collection published each year, something only possible because of the impressive fan support and enthusiastic comic community response.
The last volume raised almost 14 times its original Kickstarter goal. With this new book marking such an important place in the series, it seems likely that it might be more popular than ever before.
Said Steve Tanner: “I’m delighted that so many people are enjoying the stories and the concept behind it. The previous five Flintlock books have all been successfully pre-ordered through Kickstarter and I'm hoping Flintlock Book Six will be equally well received.”
Once again Tanner is working with several artists to bring the world of Flintlock to life. Gareth Sleightholme, who has been drawing Lady Flintlock for years, will be getting a real showcase in this book with the increased page count for his story. Sleightholme will also be drawing the cover for this volume.
Alongside him will be Carlos Angeli (Sparrowhawk) and James Grey (The Clockwork Cavalier).
What the end of Lady Flintlock will mean for the cult anthology is still uncertain. Tanner commented that there is “Only one certainty: Flintlock Book Six changes everything.” The Kickstarter will launch 30th June 2022.

Running from his crumbling life, Shawn finds a long forgotten society abandoned by Etheon long ago, and a new beginning.
