Panthro from the ThunderCats Shines in Special!
The Thundercats universe continues to expand from Dynamite Comics, with a new special coming soon featuring Panthro.
The new era of ThunderCats comic book stories turns its attention this November to the powerhouse Panthro in a special presented by Dynamite Entertainment and Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products!

The cerebral yet physically formidable master of mechanics, vehicles, and even their latest armored suits in the comics, Panthro has long been a favorite of fans across ThunderCats fandom. Now for the first time in Dynamite's line of comics, he's getting the spotlight solely to himself for an extra-size 28 pages of story!
Amidst a brief respite from his responsibilities, by himself beyond the boundaries of the Cats Lair, suddenly the powerful Panthro finds himself beset by a pack of imposing, hostile creatures. As a battle-hardened warrior, on paper this should be a fun distraction. But the true scope of the danger continues to unfurl, as the hunter becomes the hunted and a massive secret could spell doom for all Thunderans on their adopted home of Third Earth!Ed Brisson (ThunderCats Lost, New Mutants, Predator) effortlessly highlights what makes this character such a gem amongst the deep, diverse cast of ThunderCats with his new story. He's joined by the artwork of Dave Acosta, known for his evocative epics of Elvira, Mistress of the Dark and horror stylings. He's the perfect match for this story of monsters and intrigue, filled with plenty of brawling.
To portray the cunning warrior and his deadly nunchucks, four fabulous covers are available for fans and collectors. Acosta handles one, and is joined by Sebastian Piriz (Space Ghost x Jonny Quest), Robert Quinn, and Will Robson.
Panthro also appears regularly in the flagship ThunderCats series, which will have issue #22 also comes out in November. The comics franchise will also release Brisson's own ThunderCats Lost #9 the same month.
The Army of Darkness invades Riverdale!
This is an interesting team-up with two very different franchises, as we get a crossover between Archie and the Army of Darkness from Dynamite Comics and Archie Comics.
As part of a new multi-title deal for a slate of blockbuster pop culture collaborations, Dynamite Entertainment and Archie Comics are going straight to Hell with a cataclysmic crossover between two of their biggest franchises: Archie and the Army of Darkness!
The idyllic town of Riverdale has faced all manner of unexpected guests and multiversal threats, but never quite like this. In the forthcoming comic book series, Archie, Betty, Veronica, Jughead, and the rest of the gang will battle the source of all evil as the Army of Darkness and the Necronomicon lay siege to the Town with Pep. Lucky for them, the one and only Ash Williams, equipped with his trademark wit and boomstick, is along for the ride as they beat back the monstrous hordes . . . or die trying.
“Ash Williams has seen it all: demonic forces, time travel, monstrous doppelgängers. But Ash might be in for his toughest battle yet: fighting a horde of deadites alongside a group of teenagers!” said Archie Comics Senior Director of Editorial Jamie L. Rotante. “Thankfully, Archie and his friends are no strangers to the undead. And we couldn’t be more excited for everyone to see what madness will ensue when these two horror icons collide!”
“It’s always a blast to collaborate with other titans of the industry,” said Dynamite CEO and Publisher Nick Barrucci. “We’re excited to be back in business with Archie and the whole Riverdale crew, cooking up some exciting stories and more for fans. Leading off with the franchise that started it all for us at Dynamite was the perfect choice.”
The first Archie/Dynamite collaboration was the tongue-in-cheek team-up of some of comicdom's most influential women in RED SONJA AND VAMPIRELLA MEET BETTY AND VERONICA. Available now in two trade paperback volumes, the story offers fans a fun link to Amy Chu's preceding Red Sonja run, gorgeous artwork by Maria Laura Sanapo, a thrilling interdimensional epic, unforgettable interactions between the mismatched icons, and memorable cover gags. The success of this historic clash of characters set the stage for the new slate, with more details to be announced.

Disney’s The Sword in the Stone Original Vol. 1
Classic Disney in a new adventure from Papercutz with an adventure from The Sword In The Stone.
-On-Sale January 27, 2026!-
Fans of Disney’s classic ‘The Sword in the Stone’ both young and old will delight at Arthur’s newest adventure. Embarking on a journey filled with magic, and wonder, Arthur, Merlin, and Archimedes must overcome the greatest threat they have ever faced to save the Kingdom of Camelot.
The Sword in the Stone: Arthur's Magical Kingdom is a grand continuation of Disney's beloved film, "The Sword and the Stone." This epic journey follows young Arthur, now the rightful ruler of Camelot, as he embarks on a transformative journey guided by the whimsical and wise sorcerer, Merlin. When the powerful and malicious sorceress, Madam Mim, comes back from the great beyond, she brings not only a heart of revenge but new and powerful allies. In this tale, Arthur must grapple with the challenges of ruling a kingdom, while an evil spell threatens to rewrite history and destroy Camelot as we know it. Through Merlin’s guidance, Arthur learns that magic cannot solve all of life’s problems and is reminded of why he was chosen by the sword in the first place.
Writer Gabriel Valentin said, “The Sword in the Stone is one of, if not my favorite, Disney movies of all time! When I found out there was a possibility I could write something and play in that universe, I lost my mind! I couldn’t sleep for days and bugged every editor that would listen to me for a chance to tell a story that I hope lifelong "SITS" fans like myself will enjoy!”
Michael Snow said, “I grew up on Disney movies, and there was something I always loved about Sword in the Stone, both for the world of magic that said anything is possible, and the theme that anyone can be a hero. I'm super excited about the opportunity to bring that magic to a new generation and inspire young readers to find the hero inside. From the beginning, we knew we wanted to honor the original Sword in the Stone by creating something that felt like the film we grew up with, while also using Merlin’s magical fun to educate and inspire modern audiences. I hope this book is a joy for young and old for years to come.”
Illustrator Lorenzo Colangeli said, “"The Sword in the Stone has been my childhood, I almost broke the VHS for how many times I watched it. I hope to have served that masterpiece properly, and that the people see the love I have put in this book, which represents to my child-self a dream coming true."
Disney’s The Sword in the Stone Original Vol. 1 will be available in hardcover (9781545812983; $14.99) and paperback (9781545812402; $9.99) format. Be sure to add this classic volume to your collection today! It’s available for purchase wherever books are sold, including Barnes & Noble, Amazon, and Bookshop.
