Evil Awakens in Broadacres—Shane Connery Volk's Prairie Gods Returns in Trade
Western horror with the supernatural in the collected edition of Prairie Dogs, coming in May 2025 from Mad Cave Studios.
From Mad Cave Studios comes the collected edition of
PRAIRIE GODS, the supernatural horror anthology written and illustrated by Shane Connery Volk (Nottingham) with letters by Becca Carey.
For the first time, readers can experience all five eerie tales set in the haunted prairie town of Broadacres—where cursed speedways, revenants, aliens, and demons lurk just beneath the surface.
The Twilight Zone meets Sin City with a B-movie flair, each story introduces new characters caught in bizarre, otherworldly events. Strange doesn’t begin to cover it—this town is cursed!

Prairie Gods features five self-contained stories of supernatural events simmering in the small prairie town of Broadacres: a champion race car driver challenges the Devil himself; a seemingly immortal sheriff hunts for a dangerous criminal; a soldier encounters a visitor from out of this world; a tour guide and treasure hunter pursue a myth deep into an abandoned mine; and a downed test pilot must escape a very large, very hungry wolf. Small town life just got a little stranger.
Unleash the supernatural and bask in the horror. Prairie Gods hits shelves May 15, 2025.

A Brutal World. A Glimmer of Hope. The Journey Begins…
The collected edition of Long Cold Winter from Mad Cave Studios is coming at the end of May 2025. Check out the details and a preview.
LONG COLD WINTER, the fan-favorite dystopian odyssey from
Mad Cave Studios, is now collected in its entirety!
Created by Italy-based duo Francesca Perillo (Love Me: A Romance Story) and Stefano Cardoselli (Don’t Spit in The Wind), featuring colors by Lorenzo Scaramella, lettering by Buddy Beaudoin, this genre-defying sci-fi captures a world where air is currency, the past is a prison, and survival is the only law.

In the not-too-distant future, the air on Earth has become unbreathable. However, a multinational company called Air Co. has constructed generators that provide oxygen for those who can afford it. Peace Dog, a desperate ex-soldier, who has been willing to do anything to obtain breathable air is haunted by his past and hunted by bounty hunters, though, he may have found a way out of his current predicament by helping a mysterious robot child escape the dangerous and congested city. But, someone from his past has no intention of letting him leave…alive.
A perfect pull for fans of Blade Runner, Fallout, and Children of Men, this collected edition brings new weight and resonance to one of Mad Cave’s most emotionally charged series. The collection drops in shops May 28, 2025.
In Exit City, the Line Between Good and Evil Blurs
Another collection from Mad Cave Studios. This time with crime, corruption and secrets in Exit City.
The tense sci-fi crime saga
EXIT CITY from
Mad Cave Studios arrives in a full trade paperback edition this spring, collecting the complete series by writer Mark London (Wolvenheart) and artists Karl Mostert (Batman: Urban Legends) and Ramon Villalobos (Original Sins).
Known for its moody visuals and propulsive pacing,
Exit City blends noir grit with a dystopian edge. David Baron’s (Batman: Detective Comics) bold colors and Dave Sharpe’s (Green Lantern) lettering bring the narrative to life, while Raymund Bermudez (Justice League) and Sebastian Chang (Star Wars: The High Republic) deliver a striking cover that sets the tone for this layered and dangerous world.
In Exit City, there's a thin line between good and evil, and Detectives McCormick and Miller are about to find out the hard way. When they come to the scene of a brutal accident, it becomes clear that the Major Crimes division was called in for a reason. With minimal evidence, McCormick and Miller must work together through a web of seedy criminals, genetic experiments, and a crooked government. But that's not the only thing standing in their way; McCormick is hiding a secret that would make anyone question his capabilities.
A must-read for fans of Blade Runner, Minority Report, and Gotham Central,
Exit City pulls no punches as it explores the cost of justice in a world where truth is just another weapon.
Exit City is the third thrilling title in Mark London's Underworld series, which also includes Revolution 9, Hour of the Wolf, and the forthcoming Endless Night.
The trade paperback drops in shops May 14, 2025, and is now available for preorder.
