Ablaze Publishing has got you all prepared for Halloween.
Halloween is a big deal in my household, with scary movies and a lot of decorations leading up to trick or treating on the night itself. Now Ablaze have a selection of new comics and graphic novels to get you in the mood in September!
LOVECRAFT: UNKOWN KADATH is a new comic adaptation of H.P. Lovecraft’s novella, The Dream-Quest of Unknown Kadath, which combines elements of horror and fantasy into an epic tale that illustrates the scope and wonder of humankind's ability to dream.
In THE BOOGYMAN, writer Mathieu Salvia and artist, Djet, reinvent an entire mythology of childhood in a tender horror story and an initiatory journey of mourning and the acceptance of fear.
ABLAZE proudly presents “14”, the second wordless graphic novel from popular Filipino comic creator Manix Abrera, the winner of a 2015 National Book Award, awarded by the Philippines National Book Development Board and Manila Critics Circle.
Catch Issue 2 of the poignant YA coming-of-age series, ELLE(S). Featuring brilliant, Pixar-esque art from Aveline Stokart, and an engaging story by Kid Toussaint that brings moments of real emotion, mystery, intrigue, and humor together during the epic highs and lows of high school.
ABLAZE also opens solicitations in September for a pair of upcoming Fall titles. Arriving in time for Halloween comes ZOMBIE MAKEOUT CLUB by Peter Richardson, the print edition of his hit webtoon. Next, for fans of Goosebumps, Ghostbusters, The Goonies and Stranger Things comes THE NIGHTCRAWLERS, a new all-ages supernatural adventure launching in November about a group of supernatural kid detectives, by Eisner Award winning writer Marco Lopez, and artist on the rise, Rachel Distler.
And don’t miss the latest issues of the following continuing ABLAZE series in September: ELLE(S) Issue 2, PROMETHEE 13:13 Issue 3, and BÊLIT & VALERIA: SWORDS VS SORCERY Issue 5.
