New this week is Prodigy: Slaves Of Mars #4 from Dark Horse Comics, which continues the escape and investigation by the two super-genius brothers!
Why did Edison Crane’s older, smarter brother leave home and drop out when he had everything to live for? What made him become a homeless drug addict who literally despised his father? And what ties it all to the planet Mars?
Author: Mark Millar

Hmmm!
I am beginning to wonder about some of the characters in this story. Things are slotting together too conveniently, and I am becoming suspicious.
Things in this story continue well, with Edison and his brother both formulating a retreat and a form of attack and investigation. It plays well with action in the air and on the ground and some interesting science about where to investigate. I loved the artwork and the way the various earthly and alien aspects are dealt with.
Yes, there are alien aspects - from Mars, as the title of this arc suggests- and we begin to discover more about where they all are and how they got to these stores on Earth. That builds into the story's cliffhanger as the two Cranes work their way closer to answers about who is potentially behind all of this.
The suspicious parts to me are with Edison’s brother. Yes, he’s smart, but along with the feeling that he isn’t telling the whole story, some problems seem all too convenient. For example, kit and weapons are not working at certain times…
Time will tell, and I enjoy this title and look forward to what is next.
