Red Sonja & Barbarella Tangle in the Stars by Homero Rios
Starting in November 2026, Dynamite Comics has announced a new crossover series featuring Red Sonja and Barbarella!
Two legendary heroines, icons in their respective genres for over half a century each, Red Sonja and Barbarella are crossing paths for the first time ever in a brand-new comic series starting this November from Dynamite Entertainment.

The She-Devil With a Sword and the Siren of the Spaceways come from two different, impossible worlds. Yet one mystery is going to unexpectedly cross both their paths and draw them together by fate. Barbarella, in all her belovedly buxom energy, is sent after a mysterious black mirror tied to her past, an object that may hold the key to a life she barely remembers. Meanwhile far away, under a blood-red sky, Red Sonja rides valiantly into danger to rescue an Oracle whose violent fate seems already written in prophecy. Neither of these daring women knows of the other's existence, and neither understands the forces pulling them together. Science fiction and swords and sorcery clash in this new adventure. Memory, destiny, desire, and survival all carry a heavy burden and price, and some debts are paid in blood!Rising star writer Homero Rios makes his Dynamite Debut with this historic crossover. The Mexican scribe is the perfect match, with deep experience and boundless ideas across science fiction, fantasy, and horror. To date readers have been able to catch his work across both hemispheres in both the legendary Heavy Metal and Metal Hurlant. Dynamite is proud to bring his vision to the forefront with this mainstream American debut, and pairing him with two of the most iconic characters who themselves are no stranger to these boundaries-pushing and unforgiving genres.
“Writing Red Sonja and Barbarella together has been a thrill because they are both iconic, fearless, and larger than life," said writer Homero Rios. "The goal from the start was to give readers a crossover that feels dangerous and worthy of both legends. One way or another, it’s going to be quite a ride.”
Joining Rios in this journey across the stars and the trails is artist Diego Yapur. Himself no stranger to the pages of Heavy Metal, he's also known for his stunning artwork on titles including Bloodshot, The Lycan, and works starring Frank Frazetta's creations. Fans can catch Yapur's Dynamite debut as well as his early vision of one of this title's stars just around the corner, with a cover for Vampirella vs. Red Sonja: Red City this August. He will be contributing covers to Red Sonja / Barbarella as well.
In addition to the covers by interior artist Diego Yapur, the series features Dynamite fan-favorite Joseph Michael Linsner, Collette Turner, as well as two photo covers by cosplayer IvyCosplay portraying each co-star. Collectors looking to chase the rarest versions of the comic and add a fun surprise to their reading experience can opt for a mystery blind bag.
The Devil Didn't Do It. The Town Did
In October 2026, there’s a new horror series coming from Mad Cave Studios with Satanic Panic.
What happens when fear itself becomes the most dangerous monster in town?Mad Cave Studios
Move over Geraldo, invites readers back to one of the most paranoid chapters in American history with SATANIC PANIC, a relentless new four-issue horror series that blends classic slasher terror with the most hysterical media frenzy of the 1980s.Written by Ringo and GLAAD Media Award winner Matt Miner (Poser, Young Men in Love, Critical Hit) and art by Clayton McCormack (Batman: White Knight Presents - Generation Joker), with colors by Oliver Mertz, letters by Matt Krotzer, and haunting cover art by Clayton McCormack—featuring variant covers B, C, and D by Justin Coffee—Satanic Panic delivers a blood-soaked mystery where paranoia spreads faster than the body count.

A sleepy 1980s town is stalked by a masked slasher at the height of the Satanic Panic, where every heavy metal record, Dungeons & Dragons campaign, and teenage outsider is treated as evidence of devil worship. As fear spreads and bodies pile up, three local misfits become the prime suspects in a series of gruesome murders.
Join D&D geeks and Ozzy enthusiasts Naz, Sal, and Terry as they race to clear their names, survive an increasingly blood-soaked town, and unmask the real killer before paranoia claims more innocent lives. But in a community eager to blame the weird kids, proving their innocence may be deadlier than facing the murderer.
“Growing up, my mom was caught up in the religious hysteria centered around heavy metal and D&D, she burned my Ozzy tapes, my gaming stuff, all of it - so it's nice to tell a story highlighting just how stupid that all was.” —Matt Miner
A brutal new horror series blending slasher terror with the paranoia of the "Satanic Panic," the Satanic Panic series channels the era when moral hysteria transformed outsiders into scapegoats. Beneath its masked killer lies a timely story about fear, conformity, and the devastating consequences of believing the loudest voices over the truth.
Satanic Panic #1 goes on sale October 28, 2026 (FOC October 5). Contact your local comic shop or visit the Mad Cave website to preorder.
