Red Sonja Faces Revolution in Hyboria by Rory McConville
Excellent news for Red Sonja fans from Dynamite Comics with a new series beginning in May 2026 with Red Sonja: She-Devil With a Sword #1.
Dynamite Entertainment announces a brand-new flagship ongoing series hitting fans this May, as Red Sonja rips and tears into She-Devil With a Sword driven by writer Rory McConville (The Terminator: Metal, Spawn) and artist Pablo de Bonis.

Irish icon Rory McConville has been a rapidly rising star in comics, a key powerhouse in the revived scorching hot popularity of the Spawn mythos contributing to multiple titles, chronicling the latest cases of Judge Dredd, independent titles like Time Before Time and Write It In Blood, and has dipped his toes into the Dynamite pool co-writing The Terminator: Metal alongside Declan Shalvey. Now he's jumping headfirst into the deep end by taking on one of the publisher's crown jewels. Rory is joined in this bold new series by artist Pablo de Bonis (North End). The duo and the rest of the creative team are sharpening their swords, ready to present an all-new set of sagas starring the She-Devil.
The fiery-haired heroine of Hyrkania finds herself caught in the middle of a spring of revolution. A turbulent movement is determined to reshape all of Hyboria in their image, and have no interest in sparing anyone in their way. The She-Devil must protect the last descendant of an ancient bloodline from their scourge. The person under Sonja's protection, Aretha, is needed for a blood ritual, and Sonja sets out to try to free her from this cursed fate. Questions will arise through this latest quest that will shake the She-Devil to her core!

Red Sonja: She-Devil With a Sword #1 features the first appearance of the Brotherhood of the Rising Sun, as well as several new friends and foes of Red Sonja in her ongoing epics.

New Character Chromium First Appears in ThunderCats X SilverHawks Crossover
The crossover news continues with the Thundercats and SilverHawks from Dynamite Comics.
Dynamite Entertainment and Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products unveil today a brand new character entering the broader ThunderCats and SilverHawks comic book mythos, right ahead of the epic crossover between the two kicking off!
The latest member of the SilverHawks glides into the team, as the mysterious Chromium first appears in the prelude special release ThunderCats X SilverHawks: Road to War releasing March 18 and written by Ed Brisson (SilverHawks, ThunderCats Lost). Created by superstar and comics franchise flagship captain Declan Shalvey, Chromium is set to then splash into the main crossover event in a huge way in ThunderCats X SilverHawks #1.
Mob boss Mon*Star is off the table, as seen in the terrific ten issues of SilverHawks with Brisson at the helm. With a power vacuum left in his wake, criminals from across the cosmos are moving in and it's up to the SilverHawks to stop them. With their resources stretched thin, the team is increasing its ranks and brings in the new recruit Chromium. Brought under the silvery wings of Quicksilver, the veteran and rookie will face a trial by fire in Road to War.
Then in the first official chapter of the crossover in the Shalvey written and drawn ThunderCats X SilverHawks #1, Chromium joins a team of Quicksilver and The Copper Kid on an impromptu mission defying Stargazer's orders to investigate an anomaly in a long-dormant base in a quarantined sector. As they land on the forbidden planet, they'll find themselves confronted by a fearsome band of strange, cat-like warriors and in a fight for their lives!
"After seeing what Ed had developed with this new SilverHawks lore (the team we recognise assembling after the old guard), it's been great to build on that with this new character of the next generation starting with Chromium, much like how Ed built on our ThunderCats comics lore with characters like Neko and Scorpius, etc," said Declan Shalvey.
Ed Brisson added, "We're expanding the SilverHawks and I couldn't be more excited! Chromium is the first of the new generation, but he's not the last! The impact of these new SIlverHawks on the team is going to be a big part of what this crossover is about. Declan did an incredible job designing Chromium, then I swooped in and stole him to use in Road To War."
Fans will not want to miss this first appearance and early adventures of a brand-new character in the "ThunderVerse" mythos. Additional new additions to the comics canon are expected in later chapters too!
