JUDGE DREDD // MACHINE RULE by John Wagner (w) Colin MacNeil (a) Chris Blythe (c) Annie Parkhouse (l)
It looks like the fight back is beginning, while Dredd escapes his confines. I like the way this is leading and wonder what the endgame will be.
New! ALL ABOARD THE NOVA EXPRESS by James Peaty (w) Steve Roberts (a) Jim Campbell (l)
A zany one-shot story with some good fun and humourous aspects. It reminds me of an old Star Wars Tale I read once with the band from Jabba’s Palace! I liked the tone and it adds to the anthology feel.
ROGUE TROOPER // RECON by Geoffrey D. Wessel (w) Paul Marshall (a) Pippa Bowland (c) Jim Campbell (l)
An interesting and logical team-up to take on the alien incursion. I like how the battle is panning out, and there are some excellent action scenes. The classic black and white feel adds to it.
BRINK // CONSUMED by Dan Abnett (w) INJ Culbard (a) Simon Bowland (l)
Some more answers here, and I like how it is panning out. There seems to be links between the killer, sects and the police. I liked the distrust on show here, and how we are getting closer…
HERNE & SHUCK // SUFFER THE CHILDREN by David Barnett (w) Lee Milmore (a) Quinton Winter (c) Annie Parkhouse (l)
As a reader of Lord Of The Rings, I know about the problems with short cuts. Even so, the team get to where they needed to go - even with a random attack. Although I liked the parting comment. Back at Cudd, it looks like something is waiting.
New! FUTURE SHOCKS // JUST STOP EVIL by Alan Kerr (w & a) Annie Parkhouse (l)
A dark and all-too-realistic and possible Future Shock. I loved the art style and the twist coming in a double method.
SILVER // UNEARTHED by Mike Carroll (w) Joe Currie (a) Simon Bowland (l)
Diving into the belly of the beast this was a fast moving part of the issue. I think we will get closer soon to the bottom of it all here, and I like the methods Silver uses.
