Review: 2000 AD - Prog 2283
From Rebellion this week it's my thoughts on 2000 AD - Prog 2283.
UK and DIGITAL: 25 May 2022 £3.25
NORTH AMERICA: 25 May $26 (per pack)
DIAMOND: MAR221846
COVER: TAZIO BETTIN
Judge Dredd: An Honest Man by Kenneth Niemand (w) Tom Foster (a) Chris Blythe (c) Annie Parkhouse
We delve a bit deeper in this adventure and find out what this prize is all about. The link between the characters is well done, and I like the way Dredd is involved here.
Brink: Mercury Retrograde by Dan Abnett (w) INJ Culbard (a) Simon Bowland
Things are getting jumpy and now we have a secret informant. I like the way this was told and I felt jumpy reading it. That last panel was well played out too.
Hope: In The Shadows by Guy Adams (w) Jimmy Broxton (a) Jim Campbell (l)
This was interesting and it looks like we are getting closer to the culprit(s?). I like the way it was told as we have a good look inside Hope's mind. Some excellent art a colour choices too.
Dexter: Bulletopia Chapter Nine - The Thing in the Thing by Dan Abnett (w) Tazio Bettin (a) Matt Soffe (c) Simon Bowland (l)
A fun finish to the arc here and a satisfying stop-gap in the story. I like the way it panned out and the fight scene had some excellent art.
Fiends of the Eastern Front: 1963 by Ian Edginton (w) Tiernen Trevallion (a) Annie Parkhouse (l)
Some interesting twists here with this new/old villain. I like the way it was told and the link to the dragon. The finish was very interesting - and that was before we got to the final panel!
