2000 AD - Prog 2308 is out now from Rebellion; here are some short thoughts on what I thought in this issue.

COVER: PJ HOLDEN
Judge Dredd: Buratino Must Die by Rob Williams (w) Henry Flint (a) Annie Parkhouse (l)
More background, and we get some answers here too. I like the way this built up, and Anderson is (sort of) back! It’s quite a dark storyline here. Dredd is struggling, and I wonder what the end game is here. Did we get Chekov’s Gun in this issue?
Chimpsky’s Law: A Terrifically Disturbing Adventure by Ken Niemand (w) PJ Holden (a) Chris Blythe (c) Simon Bowland (l)
Some good action here, with some non-lethal violence. I like the commentary, and that was a good cliffhanger at the end. I also like how it helps Chimpsky keep his secrets for the future.
Hope... In The Shadows: Reel Two by Guy Adams (w) Jimmy Broxton (a) Jim Campbell (l)
That was an interesting issue. With some ghostly violence and a good way of dealing with the immediate problem. We get a skip week next week.
Enemy Earth: Book One by Cavan Scott (w) Luke Horsman (a) Annie Parkhouse (l)
Some slight misunderstandings, but it played out well after the last issue. There is another problem, though, that adds to the problems for the trio. Maybe we’ll have an Army Of The Dead homage!
Hershey by Rob Williams (w) Simon Fraser (a) Simon Bowland (l)
A good issue with Frank getting some problems off his system and a row with Hershey. There is a revelation from her here that puts us on the clock. I like the ending, and that is slightly horrifying!
