Next week is a big one as we get towards the Christmas special. Here are some of my thoughts on 2000 AD - Prog 2311 from Rebellion.
UK and DIGITAL: 7 December £3.50
NORTH AMERICA: 1 March 2024 $22 (per pack)
DIAMOND: NOV221768
COVER: STEVEN AUSTIN (a) JIM BOSWELL (c)
Judge Dredd: Rematch by Ken Niemand (w) Steven Austin (a) Jim Boswell (c) Annie Parkhouse (l)
A bittersweet finish to the story, with some good action and Dredd doing what he does best. I like the finish; it features some aspects, characters and ideas that could be used in the future.
Terror Tales: In The Wood by John Tomlinson (w) Lee Milmore (a) Simon Bowland (l)
This is a pretty creepy tale, and it deserves a second read. Some of the items hit home for me quite close. I like the build from the beginning, and it had a classic horror feel in the story and art.
Enemy Earth: Book One by Cavan Scott (w) Luke Horsman (a) Annie Parkhouse (l)
Finishing off the arc but with some nice hanging threads for the future. I hope this continues, as I like the action in the story and the world that is being built.
Hope by Guy Adams (w) Jimmy Broxton (a) Jim Campbell (l)
A flip to Hope here and his ‘help’. It will be interesting when these two aspects collide, and I love this story's style, art and shading. The dialogue is interesting, and it helps to pay attention.
