Judge Dredd: The Night Shifter by Ken Niemand (w) Niccolo Assirelli (a) Peter Doherty (c) Annie Parkhouse (l)
Dredd’s investigation continues, and there are some interesting aspects. I like the fact the Judges planned ahead, and that will help. Dredd dealing with politics is always entertaining too.
Joe Pineapples: Tin Man by Pat Mills (w) Simon Bisley (a) Annie Parkhouse (l)
Some fun and interesting dialogue here, with a dark finish to the due’s captors too. I like some of the comments towards Ro-Jaws. The past of Joe sounds interesting, and this looks to have some interesting items.
Hope by Guy Adams (w) Jimmy Broxton (a) Jim Campbell (l)
Finishing off the arc with a good twist. The husband and wife combination looks interesting for the future, while the present looks pretty bleak. I like the mix of the human and magical sides too.
The Out: Book Three by Dan Abnett (w) Mark Harrison (a) Simon Bowland (l)
Some good old human angst is front and centre here. I like the humour and the hangups too. This looks to be moving things on quickly, and I like the comment about aliens. I’m intrigued to see where this will go next.
Proteus Vex; Crawlspace by Mike Carroll (w) Jake Lynch (a) Jim Boswell (c) Simon Bowland (l)
There is a plan! I like the plan(s) and how they all work out. The use of the Scorchers is well done here. I liked the history and theories about their ship too.
