A bittersweet finish to this arc. It’s well played out and although I should have, I didn’t see that ending coming. I would like to see more come out of this storyline.
The Out: Book Three by Dan Abnett (w) Mark Harrison (a) Simon Bowland (l)
This leaves us at an interesting point. I like the way the judgment is portrayed, and there are some good humorous aspects going on. Where this leads to will be interesting.
Joe Pineapples: Tin Man by Pat Mills (w) Simon Bisley (a) Annie Parkhouse (l)
A talkative issue (which is always a chance where Ro-Jaws is in the story), with some interesting points about the ‘bots’ voices. It makes me want to re-read some old stories. I like the flashback as we get the slow drip of the past.
Terror Tales: Rites by Honor Vincent (w) Steve Yeowell (a) Jim Campbell (l)
An enjoyable and dark one-shot. I like the build, and the sting at the end is a double one. The art is different but well-suited to the style of the story.
Proteus Vex; Crawlspace by Mike Carroll (w) Jake Lynch (a) Jim Boswell (c) Simon Bowland (l)
an interesting meeting of minds here, with some well-done dialogue and an outcome that will move this side of the story on well. I like the hint at the end and wonder where that thread will lead.
