Out now in print and digital is 2000 AD - Prog 2331 from Rebellion. Here are some of my thoughts on reading this latest issue.
UK and DIGITAL: 10 May £3.50
NORTH AMERICA: 5 July 2024 $27.50 (per pack)
DIAMOND: MAR231808
COVER: CLIFF ROBINSON (a) DYLAN TEAGUE (c)
Judge Dredd: Flusher by Ken Niemand (w) Nick Dyer (a) Gary Caldwell (c) Annie Parkhouse (l)
An entertaining throwback villain - one I recall reading about recently too - and another Dredd story setting up potential problems in the future. I like the way this plays out and Dredd’s stoic attitude.
Durham Red: Mad Dogs by Alec Worley (w) Ben Willsher (a) Simon Bowland (l)
Some good action here and some entertaining play on the plots between both sides. I’m looking forward to seeing where this goes, and I enjoy the dark art in this. The final panel is well-shown.
The Out: Book Three by Dan Abnett (w) Mark Harrison (a) Simon Bowland (l)
A wordy issue, but with a lot to take in. I liked the humour and the evidence given. It looks like this will be ongoing, and I wonder how this will play out in the whole story. The art and panelling is well done and enjoyable.
Enemy Earth: Book Two by Cavan Scott (w) Luke Horsman (a) Simon Bowland (l)
The end first - and that was a cold finish. I like the way this was frantic and decisions had been made. What comes next, though…?
Rogue Trooper: Blighty Valley by Garth Ennis (w) Patrick Goddard (a) Rob Steen (l)
Although light on action in this issue, there are some excellent dialogue parts, and the conversations had are quite deep. It i well played out, and I wonder if there is a way out for Rogue and the others.
