Judge Dredd: In The Event of My Untimely Demise by Mike Carroll (w) Paul Marshall (a) Dlan Teague (c) Annie Parkhouse (l)
There is a lot of crime in Mega City One, but this issue aims to kick off an interesting story involving organised crime. I like the idea; it doesn’t look like it will be as one-sided as usual. There are some interesting points here.
Durham Red: Mad Dogs by Alec Worley (w) Ben Willsher (a) Simon Bowland (l)
It looks like things are going wrong for Red. I like that this happened quickly, and we moved on. The link with Red is interesting, and I want to see where this will lead. I still think the Government are involved in this somehow.
The Out: Book Three by Dan Abnett (w) Mark Harrison (a) Simon Bowland (l)
The case continues, and there are some good points made. I like the way the time-slicing is done and the history here. I could see the twist, and now things will go badly!
Enemy Earth: Book Two by Cavan Scott (w) Luke Horsman (a) Simon Bowland (l)
What a weird family dynamic we have here! I like how it is done, and there are some dark aspects too. The frantic nature of this issue was well done, and I like how it plays out.
Rogue Trooper: Blighty Valley by Garth Ennis (w) Patrick Goddard (a) Rob Steen (l)
Some deep conversations and tense moments here. I like this issue, and the discussions between the soldiers are excellent. The ending leads us to the next step in this story well.
