Judge Dredd: In The Event of My Untimely Demise by Mike Carroll (w) Paul Marshall (a) Dlan Teague (c) Annie Parkhouse (l)
The explosion's aftermath and different types of cleaning up to do. I like the tension here, and it looks like Dredd being Dredd, has lucked himself into an interesting situation.
Void Runners by David Hine (w) Boo Cook (a) Annie Parkhouse (l)
Some psychedelic dust is taken here, and it brilliantly shows! I love the artwork and some fun with the dialogue and lettering here.
Future Shocks: Laser Lennox by Elizabeth Sandifer (w) Jimmy Broxton (a) Simon Bowland (l)
Some pulpy sci-fi with a dark corporate twist. I love the humour and the washed-up hero/villain trope.
Azimuth by Dan Abnett (w) Tazio Bettin (a) Matt Soffe (c) Jim Campbell (l)
I love the tightness of the art in the majority of this issue. The style is dark, and the lighting makes it more tense in battle. Then it opens up, and we get a real look at the next problem - plus a big pun!
Rogue Trooper: Blighty Valley by Garth Ennis (w) Patrick Goddard (a) Rob Steen (l)
That was a tough ending. A real “war is hell” style. I loved it and it really made me think. Mixing the two wars was a masterpiece, and the characters were perfect. Some brilliant art here too.
