Judge Dredd: Poison by Rob Williams (w) PJ Holden (a) Peter Doherty (c) Simon Bowland (l)
A brilliant finish to the story with Dredd getting the answers and performing a cruel judgment. It was well played out from the monologging by the villain to the ending.
Helium: Scorched Earth by Ian Edginton (w) D'Israeli (a) Simon Bowland (l)
I half expected this to happen - and the bombastic way it plays out at the end of the story is brilliant. The build up is well played, and it looks like we are moving on, having discovered something new.
The Devil's Railroad by Peter Milligan (w) Rufus Dayglo (a) Jose Villarrubia (c) Jim Campbell (l)
Things are not going well for the duo, and some sacrifices are to be made. I like the bait and switch we are getting on some of these issue and the tension is building up. This really feels like classic 2000 AD with a modern twist.
The Fall of Deadworld: Retribution by Kek-W (w) Dave Kendall (a) Simon Bowland (l)
Pausing for a brief while, this issue leaves us at an interesting point. Where will things go from here, who survives (even for a short amount of time)? There are some interesting conflicts here.
Feral & Foe: Bad Godesberg by Dan Abnett (w) Richard Elson (a) Jim Campbell (l)
A new addition to the story here, and I like the action sequences as it progresses. We are still to get to the bottom of all this, but the journey is excellent and there is a new monster to deal with.
