JUDGE DREDD // A BETTER WORLD by Rob Williams & Arthur Wyatt (w) Henry Flint (c) Annie Parkhouse (l)
There are some interesting reactions to Maitland’s success, and it looks like the deck will be stacked against her. The numbers don’t lie, and she’s been given some more sectors to try. Perhaps this is so that when it goes bad, she can reinvent it. The dual story of Maitland and Dredd continues to be separate for now, though.
THISTLEBONE by T.C. Eglington (w) Simon Davis (a) Simon Bowland (l)
We get some bloody background to the story here, and I like the style of the story and the way it has been told. The build-up is interesting, and I like the way the characters are being introduced.
ENEMY EARTH // BOOK THREE by Cavan Scott (w) Luke Horsman (a) Simon Bowland (l)
The invasion begins, and it looks like there is something in my suspicions of a twist in this tale. I don’t know what yet, but something with the earth and the way the aliens are acting…
THE DEVIL’S RAILROAD by Peter Milligan (w) Rufus Dayglo (a) Jose Villarrubia (c) Jim Campbell (l)
Things are going from bad to worse, and I don’t see a way out of all of this. There are some bad things happening, and I wonder how this will all end up.
FERAL & FOE // BAD GODESBERG by Dan Abnett (w) Richard Elson (a) Jim Campbell (l)
There are some entertaining links here to the previous types of the story. I like the way it gets there, and there is some fun humour going on too. It looks like we are close to the end…
