From Rebellion in print and digitally, Prog 2370 of 2000 AD, is out now and here are some of my thoughts.
UK and DIGITAL: 21 February £5.99
NORTH AMERICA: 3 April $22.99 (per pack)
DIAMOND: DEC231682
COVER: CLINT LANGLEY
A classic 2000 AD cover here, with a great pose!
JUDGE DREDD // A BETTER WORLD by Rob Williams & Arthur Wyatt (w) Henry Flint (c) Annie Parkhouse (l)
Things are really coming to a head here, with some major tension. I like the build in this, even with the various characters. Dredd on the peripheral is well done too. There is some clever art here.
INDIGO PRIME // CRACKED ACTORS by Kek-W (w) Lee Carter (a) Jim Campbell (l)
Heh! Johnny Depth! I like this, and the tongue-in-cheek pokes at people in the limelight. I like how this is put together with some clever moments. I love the art and colouring as well.
FULL TILT BOOGIE // BOOK TWO by Alex de Campi (w) Eduardo Ocana (a) Eva De La Cruz (c) Annie Parkhouse (l)
There is a good split between the three characters here, with the two bookends building on the outliers. Meanwhile, within the crash, we get some anime-style attacks and a twist that explains why no one has returned.
THE FALL OF DEADWORLD // RETRIBUTION by Kek-W (w) Dave Kendall (a) Simon Bowland (l)
Chaos in the Sector House! I like how this is a tightly told part of the story, with the enclosed situation. It’s going very dark here!
THISTLEBONE // THE DULE TREE by T.C. Eglington (w) Simon Davis (a) Simon Bowland (l)
A bit of a dark backstory here, and I love the facial reactions to the story here as well. I wonder if there is going to be fallout or callback to this.
