JUDGE DREDD // A BETTER WORLD by Rob Williams & Arthur Wyatt (w) Henry Flint (c) Annie Parkhouse (l)
After the shocking ending here, we look to be back as ‘business as usual’. I suspect Dredd won’t let this go, though, and it will be interesting to return to this storyline. The small measure of revenge is interesting, though.
INDIGO PRIME // BLACK MONDAY by Kek-W (w) Lee Carter (a) Jim Campbell (l)
This continues with a fun look at tech and new ways of using it. There is a lot more than meets the eye here, and I enjoyed this issue and the explanation of it all. Some excellent sci-fi concepts and great art.
THISTLEBONE // THE DULE TREE by T.C. Eglington (w) Simon Davis (a) Simon Bowland (l)
It looks like this is the tipping point where everything starts to happen, the movie is in disarray, and the creatures are coming out of the woods. Some fantastic facial expressions here.
THE FALL OF DEADWORLD // RETRIBUTION by Kek-W (w) Dave Kendall (a) Simon Bowland (l)
The quest continues and these screwy visions finally reveal their source. It’s well done, and things are getting darker as we progress.
FULL TILT BOOGIE // BOOK TWO by Alex de Campi (w) Eduardo Ocana (a) Eva De La Cruz (c) Annie Parkhouse (l)
Some excellent tight panels here as we concentrate on one character. I loved the pacing and the final panel of tearful relief was excellent.
