JUDGE DREDD // R.U.R. by Ken Niemand (w) Nicolo Assirelli (a) John Charles (c) Annie Parkhouse (l)
A good refresher after the big aspects of the last few issues. I liked the flashbacks to the droids, and Judge Dredd’s reaction to the questions asked of him. Even so, I wonder if we will get some callback to this issue as there are some aspects that can be used.
INDIGO PRIME // BLACK MONDAY by Kek-W (w) Lee Carter (a) Jim Campbell (l)
We get some clarity here and some answers too. Trinity Rex is an excellent character and I liked the way this issue progresses the story.
FULL TILT BOOGIE // BOOK TWO by Alex de Campi (w) Eduardo Ocana (a) Eva De La Cruz (c) Annie Parkhouse (l)
Two parts to this story, with some entertaining avoidance of death and some more serious matters. I like the pacing here and some of the facial expressions too. It seems there are a lot of different parts to this story and the split between them is well done.
THE FALL OF DEADWORLD // RETRIBUTION by Kek-W (w) Dave Kendall (a) Simon Bowland (l)
A quick resolution to the cliffhanger of the last issue. Then things go downhill. This is a good issue, and has some creepy art, especially that final panel.
THISTLEBONE // THE DULE TREE by T.C. Eglington (w) Simon Davis (a) Simon Bowland (l)
Some good character moments here, nothing intrinsically spooky, but there is a lot of foreboding - especially that last page.
