Out this week from Rebellion, it’s the latest issue of 2000 AD - Prog 2377. This issue features the return of Aquila, and here are some of my thoughts.

JUDGE DREDD // REND & TEAR WITH TOOTH & CLAW by Rob Williams (w) RM Guera (a) Julia Brusco (c) Annie Parkhouse (l)
A full-on action issue and it really thins the heard of characters in the story. An interesting truce at the end, and I’m looking forward to what comes next.
INDIGO PRIME // BLACK MONDAY by Kek-W (w) Lee Carter (a) Jim Campbell (l)
A nice cross between the two dimensions. I liked the comments about the market, and the way forward for all characters in this twisty storyline.
NEW: AQUILA // THE RIVERS OF HADES by Gordon Rennie (w) Patrick Goddard (a) Dylan Teague (c) Annie Parkhouse (l)
An excellent issue on this character’s return. I like the action and the setting; it brings you up to date, sets up the quest and also gives us what forces are arrayed against them.
PROTEUS VEX // DEVIOUS by Mike Carroll (w) Jake Lynch (a) Jim Boswell (c) Simon Bowland (l)
An aside from Vex, but still setting up this new universe. I liked the action, and the twist at the end makes a lot of sense when you think about it.
FULL TILT BOOGIE // BOOK TWO by Alex de Campi (w) Eduardo Ocana (a) Eva De La Cruz (c) Annie Parkhouse (l)
A good parting of the ways issue, and it looks like we have a plan going forward. This has had some excellent character moments, and I love the dynamics between them all.
After all this as well, a nice tease for the future, and one I can’t wait to see!
