A darkness and flame classic cover here!
JUDGE DREDD // REND & TEAR WITH TOOTH & CLAW by Rob Williams (w) RM Guera (a) Julia Brusco (c) Annie Parkhouse (l)
The threat of the bear is still there, and there are some fantastic Dredd moments. The close-up looks at him were excellent, and there is so much more to come from this storyline.
INDIGO PRIME // BLACK MONDAY by Kek-W (w) Lee Carter (a) Jim Campbell (l)
More crazy fight scenes and the limbs flying around will probably stick with me. It feels like we’re in the endgame of this story now and things are going to be revealed!
AQUILA // THE RIVERS OF HADES by Gordon Rennie (w) Patrick Goddard (a) Dylan Teague (c) Annie Parkhouse (l)
This war is terrific, with big battle scenes and close-up fighting. I love how this story is told in the issue; the final panels were excellent and deserve a second look.
BRINK // CONSUMED by Dan Abnett (w) INJ Culbard (a) Simon Bowland (l)
This is how Kurtis will get pulled in. All very police procedural, but it keeps you hanging on. It introduces new characters well and has some perfect reasoning in the issue.
PROTEUS VEX // DEVIOUS by Mike Carroll (w) Jake Lynch (a) Jim Boswell (c) Simon Bowland (l)
An exciting look at Vex’s memories here, and I like the commentary behind it. the juddering feel to it is perfect for this, and I look forward to seeing the why and more about the who behind this.
