JUDGE DREDD // RADICALISED by Ken Niemand (w) John McCrea (a) Mike Spicer (c) Annie Parkhouse (l)
It's a good one-shot story for Dredd, with not too much Dredd. It’s always fun looking at what the citizens get up to and the extra problems the Judges have to deal with. There is a nice twist at the end, too.
THARG'S TERROR TALES // THE ESSENCE OF THE PIECE by Ed Whiting (w) Sinu Senan (a) Annie Parkhouse (l)
There is some really good horror here, combined with excellent art. I loved the buildup and how it all came about. This short story had some real creepy aspects.
BRINK // CONSUMED by Dan Abnett (w) INJ Culbard (a) Simon Bowland (l)
The investigations continue, and there is a little tension forming. I like how they repeat what they know, and we are getting close to getting some answers. Or probably more hints!
ROGUE TROOPER // SOUTHER BELLE by Geoffrey D. Wessel (w) Dan Cornwell (a) Chris Blythe (c) Jim Campbell (l)
This kicks off with a bang, and I like how Rogue is doing the attack. There is a good twist at the end of the tale, and I wonder where this will lead from this point. Things seem too simple…
PROTEUS VEX // DEVIOUS by Mike Carroll (w) Jake Lynch (a) Jim Boswell (c) Simon Bowland (l)
There is some fascinating history here, and it looks like we are getting near the end. Vex has been clever here, and the way forward looks clear. However, there is a big obstacle, and I wonder how that will be dealt with.
