JUDGE DREDD // MACHINE RULE by John Wagner (w) Colin MacNeil (a) Chris Blythe (c) Annie Parkhouse (l)
Another great issue here, with the logical movement of the story. I love Dredd’s reactions in this and you can feel the rage coming off the page. I wonder if we will have a bait and switch from the last panel though.
New! ROGUE TROOPER // RECON by Geoffrey D. Wessel (w) Paul Marshall (a) Pippa Bowland (c) Jim Campbell (l)
This first part really builds up the threat. I like the twist with the spaceships and their reactions. Some good parts here which set us up for what is to come. The black and white art works well, especially with some of the effects.
BRINK // CONSUMED by Dan Abnett (w) INJ Culbard (a) Simon Bowland (l)
The procedural aspects of Brink continue to be excellent. I like the thinking here, to get tot he bottom of it all. Is it simply a serial killer (!) or is it sect related - or both? Even so, a good part to the story with the thoughts at the end!
HERNE & SHUCK // SUFFER THE CHILDREN by David Barnett (w) Lee Milmore (a) Quinton Winter (c) Annie Parkhouse (l)
As well as getting some interesting background here, we also move the story on well. I like how the flashback was told and a pretty creepy introduction to the next part.
SILVER // UNEARTHED by Mike Carroll (w) Joe Currie (a) Simon Bowland (l)
Some brilliant action here and more to learn. I like the hint at the end of the story and loved the action scenes! Silver (sic) is an interesting character and not a total hero…
