JUDGE DREDD // MACHINE RULE by John Wagner (w) Colin MacNeil (a) Chris Blythe (c) Annie Parkhouse (l)
The machine takeover starts here. Dredd is stuck and it looks like the mechs have all their own way. I like how this is building and there is some excellent scenes. Dredd is really going to go off on this one!
ROGUE TROOPER // RECON by Geoffrey D. Wessel (w) Paul Marshall (a) Pippa Bowland (c) Jim Campbell (l)
An interesting look at the Alien on Nu-Earth. There may be some new party involved. I like how Rogue is really stuck in the middle as both factions want rid of him. Although there are some hints towards the traitor General here too. The alien is an interesting point though!
BRINK // CONSUMED by Dan Abnett (w) INJ Culbard (a) Simon Bowland (l)
A good chase here and an interesting ending that will move this story on quicker. I like the reaction shots and the little character moments we get in this story.
HERNE & SHUCK // SUFFER THE CHILDREN by David Barnett (w) Lee Milmore (a) Quinton Winter (c) Annie Parkhouse (l)
Some nice twists here, with a bit of an origin for Shuck. The links made here really add something and I like how this builds up. Those kids are creepy!
SILVER // UNEARTHED by Mike Carroll (w) Joe Currie (a) Simon Bowland (l)
We get the mission here, and the reason for the use of Silver. There is a good incentive for her too as she wouldn’t have any food in the future. I like the way this has been laid out, and the comment about those about to go into battle.
